Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aspek Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada soal tes yang disusun sebagai penilaian peserta didik pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis butir soal Penilaian Akhir Tahun mata pelajaran IPS kelas 5 dengan ditinjau dari dimensi HOTS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah soal Penilaian Akhir Tahun mata pelajaran IPS kelas 5 tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang didapatkan dari SD Plus Bakti Nusantara 666 dan guru sebagai pembuat soal Penilaian Akhir Tahun IPS kelas 5. Soal tersebut terdiri dari 35 butir soal, dengan rincian 20 butir soal pilihan ganda, 10 butir soal isian, dan 5 butir soal uraian. Berdasarkan pada hasil analisis, soal Penilaian Akhir Tahun mata pelajaran IPS kelas 5 tidak memenuhi dimensi HOTS karena hanya terdapat 3 butir soal yang sesuai dengan indikator HOTS, yakni pada kategori menganalisis (C4). Sementara itu, tidak ditemukan soal yang sesuai dengan kategori mengevaluasi (C5) dan mencipta (C6). Selain itu, soal yang memenuhi indikator Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS) terdiri dari 20 butir soal dan soal yang memenuhi indikator Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOST) terdiri dari 12 butir soal. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa soal Penilaian Akhir Tahun mata pelajaran IPS kelas 5 tidak sesuai dengan dimensi HOTS. Sehingga, soal tersebut tidak dapat digunakan untuk mengukur Higher Order Thinking Skills, melainkan cenderung mengukur Middle Order Thinking Skills. ------- This research is motivated by the low aspects of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on tests that are arranged as an assessment of elementary school students. Thus, this research aims to analyze the items test of year-end assessment of social studies subject for 5th grade in terms of the HOTS dimensions. This research uses a content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is a year-end assessment test of social studies subject for 5th grade in the 2021/2022 academic year which was obtained from SD Plus Bakti Nusantara 666 and the teacher as the maker of the 5th grade social studies year-end assessment items test. The items test consists of 35 items tested, with the following details of 20 multiple choice questions, 10 fill-in questions, and 5 essay questions. Based on the result of the analysis, the year-end assessment items test of social studies subjects for 5th grade doesn’t fulfill HOTS dimension because there were only 3 items test that appropriate the HOTS indicator, specifically in the analyzing category (C4). Meanwhile, there were no items that appropriate the categories of evaluating (C5) and creating (C5). In addition, the item tests that fulfills the Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS) indicator consist of 20 items and item tests that fulfill the Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) indicator consists of 12 items. The result of the analysis indicated that the year-end assessment items test of social studies subject for 5th grade doesn’t appropriate the HOTS dimension. Thus, the items test can’t be used to measure Higher Order Thinking Skills, but tends to measure Middle Order Thinking Skills.
