Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya siswa kelas II yang masih kesulitan dalam berhitung. Maka, terbentuklah rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep berhitung menggunakan model role playing, bagaimana respon siswa terhadap model role playing dalam kemampuan pemahaman konsep berhitung, apa saja faktor penghambat siswa dalam berhitung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model role playing terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep berhitung anak. Role playing adalah suatu cara penguasaan bahan-bahan pelajaran melalui pengembangan imajinasi dan penghayalan siswa. Upaya yang dilakukan penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan model role playing dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 15 siswa kelas II SD. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep berhitung meningkat dan masuk kategori yang tinggi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan peningkatan pada aktivitas partisipan, penghayatan peran, penampilan dan pengetahuan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Hasil wawancara terhadap siswa pembelajaran role playing sangat menyenangkan, jadi lebih mudah dalam menerima materi, dan menarik perhatian siswa. Dari penelitian ini, disarankan agar terciptanya pembelajaran yang aktif dan menyenangkan agar siswa lebih menikmati prosesnya dan mudah untuk dipahami. ----- This research is motivated by the number of second-grade students who still have difficulty in counting. So, the formulation of the problem was formed, namely how the ability to understand the concept of counting using the role-playing model, how the student's response to the role-playing model in the ability to understand the concept of count ing, what are the inhibiting factors for students in counting.This study aims to describe the effect of the role-playing model on the ability to understand children's counting concepts. Role-playing is a way of mastering lesson materials through the development of students' imagination and imagination .Efforts made by this research are to use a role-playing model in learning. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach and the type of research is the case study. The subjects in this study were 15 second-grade elementary school students. Based on the results of the study, it founded that the test results of the ability to understand counting concepts increased and entered the high category. The results of observations showed an increase in participant activity, role appreciation, appearance, and knowledge of students' conceptual understanding abilities. The results of interviews with students learning role playing are very fun, so it is easier to accept the material and attract students' attention. From this research, it is suggested that the creation of active and fun learning so that students enjoy the process more and it is easy to understand.
