Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan rendahnya kompetensi pedagogik guru bahasa Arab dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarn. Kurikulum pre-service teacher education di lembaga pendidikan tinggi idealnya disusun berdasarkan tujuan untuk menghasilkan tenaga pengajar yang memiliki kompetensi pedagogik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengevaluasi keberadaan kurikulum Pre-service Teacher Education untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru bahasa Arab. Penelitian dilakukan di program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Pontianak. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan instrumen berupa kuesioner kemudian dilengkapi dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dengan demikian penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mix method) dengan menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain kurikulum Pre-service Teacher Education untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru Bahasa Arab sudah sesuai dengan teori pengembangan kurikulum, analisis kebutuhan, dan regulasi yang berlaku. Walaupun pada tahap pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik dalam kurikulum yang ada masih membutuhkan analisis lebih mendalam guna menyandingkan secara khusus kompetensi pedagogik bidang pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan menyesuaikan dengan level-6 dari kerangka kualifikasi nasional Indonesia (KKNI). Implementasi Kurikulum Pre-service Teacher Education untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru Bahasa Arab dilaksanakan melalui program perkuliahan sacara teoritis dan praktek mengajar di kelas maupun di lapangan. Penilaian dan persepsi mahasiswa, guru pamong dan dosen terhadap implementasi menunjukkan penguasan kompetensi pedagogik yang berada pada katagori nilai cukup. Evaluasi Kurikulum Pre-service Teacher Education untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa calon guru Bahasa Arab di prodi PBA IAIN Pontianak telah dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan analisis kebutuhan dan saran dari berbagai pihak yang muaranya pada kesesuaian antara penguasaan kompetensi pedagogik dan penguasaan materi ajar bahasa Arab oleh mahasiswa calon guru. Kolaborasi tersebut dalam praktek pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara bersama dengan frekuensi yang lebih sering. Sehingga kemampuan parktikan dalam pengembangan kompetensi pedagogiknya terpantau dan terarah dengan baik serta peningkatannya dapat terukur dengan seksama.; This research was motivated by several previous studies which showed the low pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers in the implementation of learning. Pre-service teacher education curriculum in higher education institutions is ideally structured based on the aim of producing teaching staff who have pedagogical competence. This study aims to describe and evaluate the existence of the Pre-service Teacher Education curriculum to improve the pedagogic competence of prospective Arabic language teacher students. The research was conducted at the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Pontianak State Islamic Institute. Measurements were made with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire and then equipped with interview, observation and documentation methods. Thus, this study uses a mixed approach by combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the Pre-service Teacher Education curriculum design for improving the pedagogic competence of prospective Arabic language teacher students was in accordance with curriculum development theory, needs analysis, and applicable regulations. Although at the stage of developing pedagogic competence in the existing curriculum, it still requires a more in- depth analysis in order to specifically match pedagogic competence in the field of Arabic language learning and adjust it to level-6 of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). Implementation of the Pre-service Teacher Education Curriculum to improve the pedagogic competence of prospective Arabic language teacher students is carried out through theoretical lecture programs and teaching practice in the classroom and in the field. The assessment and perception of students, civil servant teachers and lecturers on implementation shows mastery of pedagogic competencies which are in the category of sufficient scores. Evaluation of the Pre-service Teacher Education Curriculum for improving the pedagogic competence of prospective Arabic language teacher students in the PBA IAIN Pontianak study program has been carried out by considering the needs analysis and suggestions from various parties, which leads to the compatibility between mastery of pedagogic competence and mastery of Arabic teaching materials by prospective teacher students. . The collaboration is in the practice of learning which is carried out together with a more frequent frequency. So that the ability to practice in the development of pedagogical competence is well monitored and directed and its improvement can be measured carefully.
