Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pembelajaran inkuiri laboratorium terhadap kemampuan inkuiri, berpikir kreatif, dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sifat koligatif larutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Dewa Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat kelas XII-IPA pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Subyek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 66 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (N=33) dan kelompok kontrol (N=33). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretes-postes, tugas laporan praktikum, lembar observasi, penilaian kinerja guru, dan angket. Data dianalisis dengan uji Independent Samples t-test dan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran inkuiri laboratorium dapat meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri, berpikir kreatif, dan penguasaan konsep. Dari uji statistik, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Perbedaan pada aspek kemampuan inkuiri terjadi pada kemampuan mengajukan pertanyaan, merancang percobaan, mengumpulkan, mengolah, dan menganalisis data, serta kemampuan membuat kesimpulan. Pada aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif, perbedaan terjadi pada keterampilan berpikir orisinil dan keterampilan berpikir elaboratif. Pada aspek penguasaan konsep, perbedaan terjadi pada jenjang kognitif memahami (C2), mengevaluasi (C5), dan mencipta (C6). Penilaian kinerja guru mengenai kemampuan dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran dalam kategori baik. Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap pembelajaran inkuiri laboratorium pada materi sifat koligatif larutan. Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Inkuiri Laboratorium, Kemampuan Inkuiri, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif, Peguasaan Konsep, Sifat Koligatif Larutan. This research intended to explore the impact of the inquiry laboratory instruction toward inquiry ability, creative thinking skills, and mastery of concept on topic of colligative properties of solution. The research method used quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design implemented in SMAN 1 Pagar Dewa District Tulang Bawang Barat XII science class academic year 2013/2014. The subjects of this research were 66 students divided into experimental group (N= 33) and control group (N=33). Data gathering conducted through a pretest-posttest, laboratory report assignments, observation sheet, assessment of teacher performance, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Independent Samples T-test and Mann Whitney test. The results show that the implementation of inquiry laboratory instruction improve ability of inquiry, creative thinking skills and mastery of concept. From statistics test, there are significant differences between experimental and control group. Differences in the inquiry ability aspect occured in the ability to possing questions, designing experiments, collecting, processing and analyzing the data, and the ability to making conclusion. In aspect of creative thinking skills, differences occured in original thinking skills and elaborative thinking skills. In mastery of concept aspect, differences occur at cognitive level understanding (C2), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). Teacher performance assessment of capabilities in designing and implementing learning in good categories. Teachers and students gave a positive responses to the inquiry laboratory instruction on topic of colligative properties of solution.
