    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki
    oleh siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar, yang disebabkan oleh penggunan bahan ajar yang kurang
    mengakomodir keikutsertaan siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu peneliti,
    terdorong untuk melakukan penelitian pengembangan terhadap bahan ajar berbasis model
    Discovery Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pemilihan model
    Discovery learning dalam bahan ajar ini dimaksudkan untuk memfasililitasi keikutertaan
    siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, karena model ini mengharuskan siswa menemukan
    konsep, prinsip, dan pengetahuan sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk
    mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan bahan ajar, hasil pengembangan bahan ajar, dan
    hasil validasi bahan jar menurut ahli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain dan
    pengembangan (D&D), dengan model yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE (Analysis, Design,
    Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa
    kelas IV SDN kota Bandung, ahli materi, ahli desain bahan ajar, ahli bahasa, dan ahli
    pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, yang
    menggunakan analisis data dengan teknik kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil kelayakan bahan
    ajar berdasarkan validasi ahli materi sebesar 98,52%, ahli desain sebesar 78,47%, ahli
    bahasa sebesar 76,92%, dan ahli pembelajaran sebesar 81,11%. Dengan begitu, hasil
    pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis model discovery learning dinyatakan sangat layak
    untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

    This research is motivated by the lack of critical thinking skills possessed by fourth grade
    elementary school students, which is caused by the use of teaching materials that do not
    accommodate student participation in learning activities. Therefore, researchers are
    encouraged to conduct research on the development of teaching materials based on the
    Discovery Learning model to improve critical thinking skills. The selection of the
    Discovery learning model in this teaching material is intended to facilitate student
    participation in learning activities, because this model requires students to find their own
    concepts, principles, and knowledge. The purpose of this study is to describe the design of
    teaching materials development, the results of the development of teaching materials, and
    the results of the validation of teaching materials according to experts. This study uses the
    design and development (D&D) method, with the model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design,
    Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The participants in this study were fourth
    grade students at SDN Bandung, material experts, teaching materials design experts,
    linguists, and learning experts. Data was collected using a questionnaire, which used data
    analysis with qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results of the feasibility of
    teaching materials based on the validation of material experts are 98.52%, design experts
    are 78.47%, linguists are 76.92%, and learning experts are 81.11%. That way, the results
    of the development of teaching materials based on the discovery learning model are
    declared very feasible to be used in learning.
