Abstract
ABSTRAK Dalam skripsi ini dijelaskan mengenai tehnik transformasicerita pendek untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dari kemampuan menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya sebelum dan sesudah digunakannya teknik transformasi cerita pendek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest dan posttest. Analisis penelitian ini meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji gain, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitasdan uji homogenitas, data dalam penelitian ini memiliki distribusi normal dan memiliki kriteria homogen. Berdasarkan hasil uji gain, terlihat bahwa kemampuan menulis teks drama siswa XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya meningkat. Rata-rata kemampuan awal menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya yaitu 52,79 dan rata-rata kemampuan akhir menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya yaitu 73,67. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh hasil bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 9,58 > 2,41, yang berarti hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima sedangkan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik transformasi cerita pendek bisa meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks drama siswa kelas XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Kata Kunci: tehnik transformasi, menulis teks drama ABSTRACT The background of this research was the lack of skill in writing drama text of the students in class XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya academic year 2013/2014. The purpose of this research was to examine the significant difference of the students’ skill in writing drama text by using short story transformation technique. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design. The technique used in the data analysis was data testing which includes normality test, homogeneity test, gain test, and hypotheses test. Based on the result of normality test, it was found that pretest and posttest data had normal distribution. As well as homogeneity test, the variant data in this research was homogen criteria. Based on the gain test, it can be seen that the students’ skill in writing drama text was improved. The mean score of students’ skill in writing a drama text before using short story transformation technique was 52,79. Meanwhile, after using short story transformation technique, the mean score was improved to 73,67. The last, based on the hypotheses test it was found that t value > t table which means 9,58>2,41. It could be concluded that the research hypotheses (Ha) was accepted while the null hypotheses (Ho) was rejected. It showed that short story transformation technique could improve the skills in writing drama text of the students in class XII RPL A SMK Puragabaya academic year 2013/2014.
