Abstract

ABSTRAK Sekolah adalah institusi pendidikan yang menyediakan layanan pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan untuk peserta didiknya. Namun, dibalik fungsi utama sekolah yaitu tempat menuntut ilmu, ternyata menjadi sebuah tempat kejadian tindak kekerasan, bullying. Latar belakang terjadinya tindakan bullying sangat beragam dan bergantung pada lingkungan itu sendiri. Perlu kita lihat bahwa peran serta obyek sekolah sebagai tempat kejadian perkara mengalami disfungsi sehingga bisa memfasilitasi pelaku kejahatan. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk membuat desain kawasan institusi pendidikan dengan menerapkan prinsip Crime Prevention Through Environment Design (CPTED) sebagai salah satu cara tindakan pencegahan kekerasan di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan untuk memecahkan rantai kekerasan kasus bullying di lingkungan pendidikan juga dibantu dengan merancang sekolah yang memiliki sistem boarding school, yang mampu menyediakan pendisiplinan, dan pembinaan karakter untuk menyiapkan individu para peserta didik agar tidak lagi menjadi objek maupun pelaku tindak bullying. Perancangan ini menerapkan pendekatan kinerja bangunan dalam mengurai latar belakang permasalahan menjadi sebuah desain. Data perancangan diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, studi literatur, dan studi banding. Hasil perancangan ini akan menciptakan suatu kawasan sekolah menengah atas boarding school berlokasi di Jalan Jatihandap, Kelurahan Jatihandap, Kecamatan Mandalajati, Kota Bandung, dan akan menjadi sekolah yang bebas dari tindakan kekerasan dengan penerapan prinsip desain CPTED yang mengurangi resiko terjadinya tindakan kekerasan bullying. Kata Kunci: Bullying, Boarding school, CPTED. ABSTRACT Schools are educational institutions that provide science learning services for their students. However, behind the main function of the school, which is a place to study, it turns out to be a scene of violence and bullying. The background of the occurrence of bullying is very diverse and depends on the environment itself. We need to see that the role of the school object as a crime scene is dysfunctional so that it can facilitate criminals. This study aims to design an educational institution area by applying the principle of Crime Prevention Through Environment Design (CPTED) as a way of preventing violence in the school environment. The purpose of breaking the chain of violence in bullying cases in the educational environment is also assisted by designing schools that have a boarding school system, which is able to provide discipline, and character development to prepare individual students so that they are no longer the object or perpetrator of bullying. This design applies a building performance approach in parsing the background of the problem into a design. Design data obtained from interviews, literature studies, and comparative studies. The results of this design will create a high school boarding school area located on Jalan Jatihandap, Jatihandap Village, Mandalajati District, Bandung City, and will become a school that is free from acts of violence by applying CPTED design principles that reduce the risk of violent acts of bullying.
