Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia saat ini menyebabkan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah berubah menjadi di rumah menggunakan media Podcast dengan metode Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Perubahan metode pembelajaran seperti itu menuntut kemampuan lebih dari para guru/tenaga didik serta orang tua dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Salah satu jalan keluar yang dapat diterapkan dalam membantu proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan media dapat membantu memperjelas proses penyampaian pesan pembelajaran. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini untuk mencoba mengembangkan konten media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran bagi peserta didik tingkat menengah atas. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan metode penelitian desain dan pengembangan berdasarkan pada prosedur penelitian Peffers dkk (2010). terdapat enam tahapan terkait prosedur penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu Identifikasi masalah, Menentukan tujuan dan solusi, Desain dan pengembangan produk, Demonstrasi produk, Evaluasi produk, dan Mengomunikasikan hasil. Dalam pengembangan media juga menggunakan model pengembangan ASSURE model yang dikemukakan oleh Smaldino, Russel, Heinich dan Molenda (2002). Instrument penelitian menggunakan pedoman wawancara dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian berupa media pembelajaran berbasis Podcast yang berisi materi tentang dasardasar ilmu ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian/validasi, media yang dikembangkan mendapatkan penilaian yang sangat baik dari para ahli, guru mata pelajaran serta pengguna. Sehingga penelitian peneliti menyimpulkan media Podcast for Learning layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik tingkat menengah atas. The Covid-19 pandemic currently hitting Indonesia has caused learning activities at schools to change to be at home with podcast media using the Distance Learning method. Thus, changes in learning methods require more abilities from teachers/students and parents in utilizing technology. One of the solutions to support the proper learning process is by using media. It can help to clarify the process of transfer knowledge appropriately. This research aims to develop learning media content for helping the learning process at upper secondary level students. It was carried out by applying design and development research methods based on the research procedures of Peffers et al (2010). It included a method covering six stages in the research procedure namely; problem identification, determining goals and solutions, product design and development, product demonstration, product evaluation, and communicating the results. It also implemented ASSURE model used proposed by Smaldino, Russel, Heinich, and Molenda (2002) to develop the media. The research instruments used were interview guidelines and questionnaires. The results of the study were in the form of Podcast-based learning media particularly in the basics of the economic subjects. Based on the results of assessment/validation, the developed media received a very good result from experts, subject teachers, and users. It can be concluded that Podcast for Learning media is feasible to be used in the learning process of upper secondary level students.
