Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan perhatian orang tua dengan minat belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 226 orang. Sampel berjumlah 153 orang yang ditetapkan dengan menggunakan rumus slovin dengan eror sampling 5%. Untuk penentuan sampel dari tiap kelas dilakukan melalui teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik angket, adapun analisis datanya menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara perhatian orang tua dengan minat belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung, diperoleh hasil r_hitung 0,503 > 〖r 〗_tabel 0,148 dan dalam kategori sedang. Secara lebih rinci diketahui terdapat hubungan dalam kategori sedang yaitu antara pemberian bimbingan belajar, pemenuhan fasilitas belajar, menciptakan suasana belajar yang tenang dan tentram dengan minat belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung. Dan terdapat hubungan dalam kategori rendah antara pemberian penghargaan dan hukuman, memperhatikan kesehatan anak dengan minat belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung. Kata Kunci : Perhatian Orang Tua dan Minat Belajar Siswa. This research aims to describe the relationship between parental attention and learning interest of fifth grade elementary school students. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population is all students of fifth grade in one of the State Elementary Schools in Bandung, totaling 226 people. The sample amounted to 153 people who were determined using the Slovin formula with a sampling error of 5%. To determine the sample from each class is done through the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire technique, while the data analysis used correlation product moment. The results showed that there was a relationship between parental attention and student interest in class V in one of the public elementary schools in Bandung, the results were 0.503> 0.148 and in the medium category. In more detail, it is known that there is a relationship in the medium category, namely between the provision of tutoring, the fulfillment of learning facilities, creating a calm and serene learning atmosphere with the learning interest of fifth grade students at one of the State Elementary Schools in Bandung. And there is a relationship in the low category between reward and punishment, paying attention to children's health with the interest in learning of fifth grade students at one of the public elementary schools in Bandung.
