Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang terbentuk setelah melakukan diskusi virtual menggunakan moodle, mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangan diskusi menggunakan moodle. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksploratif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perkuliahan simulasi pembelajaran kimia pada mahasiswa prodi pendidikan kimia angkatan 2009 di salah satu universitas negeri di Bandung. Data diperoleh dari hasil diskusi mahasiswa dengan topik-topik pembelajaran mengenai penyusunan indikator dan tujuan pembelajaran, yaitu: pola komunikasi yang terjadi saat melakukan diskusi virtual berlangsung secara satu arah. Kendala-kendala yang terjadi pada saat pelaksanaan diskusi virtual yaitu mahasiswa kesulitan untuk mengakses moodle dari luar kampus. selain itu respon yang dilakukan oleh dosen terhadap jawaban/pertanyaan mahasiswa tidak reaktif melainkan cenderung manual, sehingga memberatkan kerja dosen; Komunikasi yang terbentuk dalam diskusi virtual menggunakan moodle termasuk kedalam pola komunikasi satu arah. Pola komunikasi yang terbentuk selama proses diskusi virtual berlangsung adalah sebagai berikut: komunikasi untuk mempertahankan indikator, komunikasi untuk menghilangkan beberapa indikator, komunikasi agar indikator dikoreksi dan tidak setuju dengan indikator yang dibuat; Indikator dan tujuan pembelajaran cenderung mengalami perubahan baik jumlah, isi ataupun struktur kalimatnya setelah melakukan diskusi virtual dengan menggunakan fasilitas moodle. Perubahan yang terjadi membuat indkator dan tujuan menjadi lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum didiskusikan. Research method used was a descriptive exploratory. This research was conducted in the course of simulation on student learning chemistry department of chemical education class of 2009 at one of the public universities in Bandung. Data obtained from student discussions on topics concerning the development of indicators of learning and learning objectives, namely: communication patterns that occur when a virtual discussions take place in one direction. Constraints that occur when implementing a virtual discussion that student difficulties to access Moodle from outside the campus. other than that the response made by the lecturer to answer / question is not reactive but students tend to be manual, so the burdensome work of lecturers; Communications formed using Moodle in virtual discussion included into the pattern of one-way communication. Communication patterns that are formed during the process of the virtual discussion takes place is as follows: to maintain communications indicator, communication to eliminate some of the indicators, the communication to the indicator corrected and do not agree with indicators made; Indicators and learning objectives are likely to change either the amount, content, or sentence structure after a virtual discussion by using Moodle.
