Abstract
ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in economic subjects in state high schools in Garut Regency whose scores are still below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). This study aims to determine whether learning motivation plays a role in mediating the influence of teacher Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) on learning outcomes. The research method used was an explanatory survey using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS in SMA Negeri in Kapuaten Garut as many as 474 students, then using a random sampling technique obtained a sample of 217 students. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis with mediation regression analysis. The research results show; (i) The level of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) teachers have a positive and significant effect on the level of learning outcomes; (ii) The level of student learning motivation mediates the influence of the teacher's Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) level on the level of learning outcomes. The implication is that teachers and students have interactions with each other, which in this study shows that in order to improve student learning outcomes the teacher must have good PCK skills which can increase student learning motivation so that in the end it can improve student learning outcomes.
