Abstract

Penanaman nilai karakter yang dilakukan dalam proses pendidikan ini bertujuan agar peserta didik memiliki karakter yang sesuai dengan harapan bangsa dan negara. Penanaman karakter kepada anak dapat diintegrasikan dalam cerita rakyat legenda. Melalui cerita rakyat legenda diyakini mampu memberikan pembelajaran penting mengenai nilai-nilai karakter kepada peserta didik. Selain mendidik karakter siswa melalui cerita rakyat legenda, buku tematik tema 8 “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku” Untuk SD/MI Kelas IV Karya Subekti juga turut serta melestarikan kebudayaan lokal yang dimiliki bangsa Indonesia salah satunya pelestarian cerita rakyat nusantara. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita legenda pada buku tematik kelas IV Kurikulum 2013. Pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan analisis data menggunakan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tujuh cerita legenda yang mengandung 4 nilai karakter yang didalamnya terdapat 12 subnilai karakter. ----- The inculcation of character values carried out in this educational process aims to make students have characters that are in accordance with the expectations of the nation and state. Cultivating character in children can be integrated in folklore legends. Through folklore, legends are believed to be able to provide important learning about character values to students. In addition to educate students' character through folklore legends, the thematic book on the theme 8 “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku” for SD / MI Class IV by Subekti also participates in preserving the local culture of the Indonesian nation, one of which is the preservation of the folklore of the archipelago. Based on this, this study aims to identify the content of the character values contained in the legend in the thematic book class IV Curriculum 2013. Data collection uses documentation studies and data analysis uses content analysis methods. The results showed that there are seven legend stories that contain 4 character values in which there are 12 character sub-values.
