    Abstract

    This study is motivated by the lack of media that is used in learning activity for multiplication in mathematics for 3rd grade at Elementary School. Papan Talitepas is a media that is used in learning activity. This media provides steps in calculating multiplication by using rope that is convenient to use for both teacher and students in the learning activity. This study has “Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Papan Talitepas untuk Mata Pelajaran Matematika tentang Perkalian di Sekolah Dasar” as its title and aims to develop and produce proper learning media to overcome students’ difficulties in learning multiplication. The method for this study is Design and Development (DnD) that refers to development procedure in ADDIE model. The expert feasibility test for media design and material is examined by 2 expert lecturers using Expert Review in media and material validation instrument sheet. On the other hand, the media feasibility is examined by 6 teachers by using validation instrument sheet. This feasibility test is conducted in a small group that consists of 3 students in order to know the quality of the product by using questionnaire as students’ responses. The results show 89,2% from media expert, 86,1% from material expert, 87,9% from 6 teachers and 95,8% from 3 students. Based on the percentages, Papan Talitepas is a proper media to be used by students to overcome their difficulties in learning multiplication.
