Abstract
Hasil TIMSS tahun 2015 Indonesia berada di peringkat 44 dari 49 negara dengan skor 397 dari rata-rata skor Internasional 500, posisi Indonesia masih di bawah internasional Lebih dari 95% siswa Indonesia hanya mampu sampai level menengah. Hasil ujian akhir sekolah di tingkat sekolah dasar pun masih kurang memusakan, di mana hasil rata-rata belajar matematika untuk siswa sekolah dasar berkisar antara nilai 5 dan 6. Hal ini menunjukan masih rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap pelajaran matematika. Kebanyakan siswa kesulitan dalam menyerap atau memahami konsep matematika, terlebih lagi pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan secara daring akibat Covid-19 memiliki tantangan tersendiri bagi guru dan siswa dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan keadaan tersebut peneliti memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan kesulitan siswa menyelesaikan soal cerita pada pembelajaran daring. Berdasarkan studi litelatur penelitian ini belum dilakukan sebelumnya pada pembelajaran daring karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Permata Biru. Hasil temuan penelitian disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) pemahaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada pembelajaran daring secara keseluruhan baik dan hanya beberapa siswa saja yang tidak paham, 2) hampir seluruh siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal cerita hanya beberapa siswa saja yang merasa tidak mengalami kesulitan, 3) penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada pembelajaran daring disebabkan karena faktor internal dan eksternal, 4) beberapa upaya yang dilakukan siswa dalam mengatasi kesulitan sewaktu menyelesaikan soal cerita pada pembelajaran daring yaitu dengan bertanya kepada orangtua mereka, mencari di buku, mencari di internet, dan meminta bantuan kepada orang yang lebih paham. ----- TIMSS results in 2015 Indonesia is ranked 44 out of 49 countries with a score of 397 from the average international score of 500, Indonesia's position is still below international More than 95% of Indonesian students are only able to reach the intermediate level. This shows that the students' ability to understand mathematics is still low. Most students have difficulty absorbing or understanding mathematical concepts, moreover learning carried out online due to Covid-19 has its own challenges for teachers and students in carrying out mathematics learning. Based on these circumstances the researcher has a goal to find out the understanding and difficulties of students solving story questions in online learning. Based on the literature study, this research has not been done before on online learning, therefore the researchers conducted this research. The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Permata Biru. The results of the research findings were concluded as follows: 1) students' understanding in solving story questions in online learning was overall good and only a few students did not understand, 2) almost all students had difficulty working on story problems, only a few students felt they had no difficulty , 3) the causes of student difficulties in solving story problems in online learning are due to internal and external factors, 4) some of the efforts made by students in overcoming difficulties when solving story problems in online learning, namely by asking their parents, looking in books, looking in the internet, and ask someone who is better informed.
