Abstract
Kemampuan literasi sains sangat penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik untuk mengembangkan intelektualnya khususnya dalam memahami lingkungan hidup, ekonomi yang berhubungan dengan sains serta permasalahan yang ada pada saat ini. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains adalah melalui analisis buku teks pelajaran yaitu buku tematik terpadu kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menganalisis aspek literasi sains pada buku tematik siswa SD kelas IV kurikulum 2013 yang termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data berupa studi analisis konten buku tematik kelas IV semester dua dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Buku tema yang dianalisis terdiri dari empat buku yaitu tema 6 “Cita-Citaku”, tema 7 “Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku”, tema 8 “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku”, dan tema 9 “Kayanya Negeriku”. Dari hasil penyajian aspek literasi sains yang muncul terdapat kesesuaian, namun proporsi yang muncul tidak seimbang. Penelitian memberikan rekomendasi meningkatkan kualitas buku siswa yang notabene sebagai sumber belajar dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar yang ada di sekolah dengan menyesuaikan materi IPA yang terdapat dalam buku siswa tematik kelas IV SD dengan aspek literasi sains. ----- The ability of scientific literacy is very important for students to develop their intellectuals, especially in understanding the environment, economics related to science and problems that exist today. One of the efforts to improve scientific literacy skills is through the analysis of textbooks, namely the integrated thematic books of the 2013 curriculum. This research aspects of scientific literacy in the thematic books of elementary school students of class IV curriculum 2013 which are included in the descriptive type of research by collecting data in the form of content analysis studies. thematic books for class IV semester two with a qualitative descriptive approach. The theme books analyzed consisted of four books, namely the tema 6 "Cita-Citaku", tema 7 “Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku”, tema 8 “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku”, dan tema 9 “Kayanya Negeriku”. From the presentation of the emerging scientific literacy aspects. there is a match, but the proportion that appears is not balanced. The research provides recommendations for improving the quality of student books which are actually a source of learning in the process of teaching and learning activities in schools by adjusting the science material contained in the thematic books of fourth grade elementary school students with aspects of scientific literacy.
