Abstract

Dewasa ini, sebagian siswa hanya sekedar belajar dengan cara menghapal materi tanpa memahami materi secara lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk menganalisa kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada tema 9 kayanya negeriku subtema 1 kekayaan sumber energi di Indonesia pembelajaran 1 di kelas IV sekolah dasar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Sains Technology Society (STS). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian pra eksperimen tipe one group pretest posttest design dengan modifikasi dari single subject, dengan menggunakan empat siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yakni dengan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan koefisien determinasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Sains Technology Society, dapat diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada indikator menafsirkan memperoleh skor N-Gain 0,46, merangkum 0,50, dan menjelaskan 0,33 dengan interpretasi sedang. Sedangkan pada skor rata-rata pretest posttest siswa secara keseluruhan memperoleh skor N-Gain 0,38 dengan interpretasi sedang, dan berdasarkan uji koefisen determinasi bahwa model pembelajaran Sains Technology Society memberikan pengaruh sebesar 53,2% terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. This study was structured with the aim of analyzing students' conceptual understanding skills on the theme of 9 rich my country, sub-theme 1, the wealth of energy sources in Indonesia, learning 1 in grade IV elementary schools by applying the Science Technology Society (STS) learning model . This research was conducted using a pre-experimental research design type one group pretest posttest design with a modification of a single subject, using four students as research subjects. Data collection used in research that is by testing the ability to understand concepts and observation sheets of student activities. The data obtained in the study were then processed using descriptive statistical analysis and the coefficient of determination. Based on the results of the study that the students' conceptual understanding ability increased after applying the Science Technology Society learning model , it can be seen that there was an increase in the interpreting indicator, obtaining an N-Gain score of 0.46, summarizing 0.50, and explaining 0.33 with moderate interpretation. Whereas on the average score of the pretest posttest students overall obtained an N-Gain score of 0.38 with moderate interpretation, and based on the coefficient of determination test, the Science Technology Society learning model had an effect of 53.2% on students' conceptual understanding abilities.
