Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar yang pada umumnya hanya menggunakan metode tanya jawab dan terpaku pada buku, kurangnya menggunakan media atau model pembelajaran yang menarik minat siswa saat proses pembelajaran IPS, salah satu jalan keluarnya adalah menggunakan model kontekstual yang bisa dilaksanakan pada pembejaran IPS di sekolah dasar. Maka dari itu peneliti berminat untuk meneliti beberapan penelitian yang sudah menerapkan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan tekhnik penelitian studi literature. Yang menelaah beberapa penelitian yang berkaitan dengan masalah penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan penelitian ini menggunakan sumber bersifat primer dan bersifat sekunder dalam datanya.Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Cilanyangguha pada siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar. Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti bahawa sekolah tersebut terutama di kelas VI masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS kurang dari yang di harapkan. Karena proses pembelajaran IPS di kelas masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab sehingga membuat anak bosan atau jenuh dalam pembelajaran IPS dan berpengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Salah satu inovasi dalam penyampaian materi dan membantu guru yaitu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning. Dari hasil penelitian ini dengan penerapan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning sudah membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan dan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPS meningkat di kelas sesuai yang di harapkan. Kata kunci: Contextual teaching and learning, hasil belajar, Pembelajaran IPS Social studies learning in elementary schools generally only uses the question and answer method and is fixated on books, the lack of using media or learning models that attract students' interest during the social studies learning process, one way out is to use a contextual model that can be implemented in social studies chasing in elementary schools . Therefore, researchers are interested in researching several studies that have applied the contextual teaching and learning learning model to improve student learning outcomes. In this study researchers used literature study research techniques. who examined several studies related to this research problem using a qualitative approach and this study used primary and secondary sources in its data. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Cilanyangguha on grade VI elementary school students. From the results of observations made by researchers that the school, especially in class VI, is still low in student learning outcomes in social studies lessons that are less than expected. Because the social studies learning process in the classroom still uses the lecture and question and answer method so that it makes children bored or bored in social studies learning and it affects student learning outcomes in social studies subjects. One of the innovations in delivering material and helping teachers is by using the contextual teaching and learning model. From the results of this study, the application of the contextual teaching and learning learning model has made the learning process fun and student learning outcomes in social studies have increased in class as expected.
