Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis di kelas IV di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan Model Problem Based Learning untuk memperbaiki Berpikir Kritis siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Selain melihat hasil peningkatan, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat pencapaian siswa dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian yang digunakan saat ini adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) yang dimodifikasi berbasis daring atau dalam jaringan dikarenakan adanya situasi pandemi covid19. Peneliti menggunakan test, angket dan observasi untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan pencapaian siswa. pretest dilakukan sebelum menggunakan model PBL untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa sebelumnya. Postest digunakan setelah menggunakan model PBL. Materi pokok yang diambil dalam penelitian adalah tema 8 Daerah Tempat Tinggalku Sub tema 1 Lingkungan Tempat Tinggalku Pembelajaran 3, 4, dan 5. Jumlah siswa kelas IV yang diteliti dan dapat berpartisipasi berjumlah 12 siswa.. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya peningkatan berpikir kritis siswa dan aktivitas siswa pada pembelajaran di setiap siklusnya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat memperbaiki kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran tema Daerah Tempat Tinggalku. This research was motivated by the lack of students' ability to think critically in grade IV in elementary schools. This research was conducted to determine the results of the application of the Problem Based Learning Model to improve students' critical thinking in elementary schools. In addition to seeing the results of the improvement, this study also aims to see students' achievements in their critical thinking abilities. The research currently used is a modified PTK (Classroom Action Research) based online or in a network due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Researchers used tests, questionnaires and observations to determine student achievement and improvement. The pretest was carried out before using the PBL model to determine the previous students' abilities. Postest is used after using the PBL model. The main material taken in the study was the theme of 8 Areas where I live Sub theme 1 My Living Environment Learning 3, 4, and 5. The number of fourth grade students studied and able to participate was 12 students. The results obtained showed an increase in students' critical thinking. and student activities in learning in each cycle. So it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in learning the theme of My Living Area.
