Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan hal terpenting dalam setiap pembelajaran. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak siswa yang mempunyai pemahaman konsep yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor penyebab rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik, menganalisis upaya mengatasi rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan angket, observasi, dan juga wawancara sebagai teknik pengumpulan datanya. Sumber data didapatkan dari siswa kelas V, orang tua, dan guru kelas SDN Sarimulya 1. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan sebagai teknik analisisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik disebabkan oleh faktor internal berupa minat belajar, kebiasaan belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa yang masih buruk. Selain itu faktor lingkungan tempat tinggal dan sekolah yang kurang mendukung, serta fasilitas belajar yang kurang memadai juga menjadi faktor eksternal penyebab rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik. Understanding the concept is the most important thing in every learning. But in reality there are still many students who have a low understanding of the concept. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause students 'poor understanding of concepts in thematic learning, analyze efforts to overcome students' poor understanding of concepts in thematic learning. This study uses a qualitative research approach to the type of case studies with questionnaires, observations, and interviews as a data collection technique. Sources of data obtained from class V students, parents, and SDN Sarimulya 1 grade teachers. The data validity technique uses triangulation techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions as analysis techniques. The results showed that the factors that caused the students' lack of understanding of concepts in thematic learning were caused by internal factors such as learning interest, study habits and student motivation which were still poor. Besides the environmental factors that are less supportive of residence and schools, as well as inadequate learning facilities are also external factors causing the lack of understanding of students' concepts in thematic learning.
