Abstract

Implementasi reading therapy untuk membantu kesulitan belajar siswa kelas 3 sekolah dasar merupakan sebuah metode terapi dengan menggunakan medium buku guna membantu memunculkan solusi permasalahan dari kesadaran diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang perencanaan metode, penerapan metode reading therapy, melihat konten-konten yang disajikan dalam penerapan reading therapy dan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan reading therapy. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode penelitian action research. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dimana pengambilan sampel atau partisipan berdasarkan pertimbangan fokus tujuan penelitian yaitu hanya kpada siswa yang bermasalah belajar. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan pertanyaan refleksi dengan partisipan penelitian 4 orang siswa kelas 3 B dan 1 orang informan guru wali kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus menggunakan 5 fase biblioterapi, dengan hasil penelitian yaitu dalam proses perencanaan perlu diidentifikasi lingkungan tempat peserta didik tumbuh, dimana terdapat perubahan perilaku peserta didik dari segi motivasi belajar, semangat masuk sekolah dan juga peningkatan pada nilai akademik dan diperlukannya proses analisis konten yang digunakan dalam reading therapy harus memiliki tema atau alur cerita yang mirip dengan permasalahan anak agar dapat tepat sasaran dengan sisi psikologis anak. Namun sebaiknya untuk melaksanakan implementasi reading therapy dilakukan pada saat pertengahan semester ganjil atau awal semester genap. Selanjutnya dalam penerapan reading therapy perlu diperhatikan lingkungan dimana anak tersebut tumbuh. Karena bagaimanapun anak akan dibentuk oleh lingkungannya dalam ini guru dan orang tua sebagai figur otoritas:---The implementation of reading therapy to help learning disabilities of 3rd grade elementary school students is a therapy method using a book as medium to help bring up solutions to problems from students' self-awareness. This study aims to design method planning, the implementation of reading therapy methods, to see the content presented in the implementation of reading therapy and to evaluate the implementation of reading therapy. The research approach used in this study was qualitative with action research study methods. The sampling technique carried out in this study used purposive sampling method where sampling or participants based on the consideration of the focus of the research objective is only on students who have learning problems. While, the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation studies and reflection questions with the study participants with 4 people from class 3B students and 1 homeroom teacher as informant. This research was conducted for 2 cycles using 5 phases of bibliotherapy, with the results of the study that in the planning process it needs to be identified aspect of environment in which students grow, there is a change in behavior of students in terms of learning motivation, enthusiasm to go to school and also an increase in academic value and the need for content analysis process what is used in reading therapy must have a theme or storyline that is similar to a child's problem in order to be able to be right on target with the child psychologically. However, it is better to implement the practice of reading therapy at the middle of the first semester or the beginning of the semester. Furthermore, in the implementation of reading therapy it is necessary to pay attention to the environment in which the child grows. Because after all children will be formed by their environment in this case teacher and parents as authority figures.
