Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh cukup banyaknya hasil belajar siswa yang masih di bawah KKM, dilihat dari nilai rata-rata UTS (Ulangan Tengah Semester) mata pelajaran ekonomi pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri Wilayah A Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum tentang self esteem dilihat dari aspek-aspek pembentuknya yaitu feeling of belonging (perasaan memiliki), feeling of worth (perasaan berharga) dan feeling of competence (perasaan berkompeten) serta mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dengan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri Wilayah A Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survey eksplanatori. Sampel yang diteliti adalah siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri Wilayah A Kota Bandung sebanyak 194 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan random sampling dan proportional random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis faktor konfirmatori dan analisis korelasi pearson’s product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat self esteem siswa berada pada kategori sedang; (2) terdapat hubungan antara indikator self esteem yaitu feeling of belonging, feeling of worth dan feeling of competence yang dimiliki siswa dengan self esteem siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai korelasi indikator feeling of belonging sebesar 0,693, nilai korelasi indikator feeling of worth sebesar 0,836 dan nilai korelasi indikator feeling of competence sebesar 0,783; (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara self esteem siswa dengan hasil belajarnya yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,347 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05.:---This research is motivated by a lot of student learning outcomes that are still under minimum criteria, seen from the average value of UTS (Mid Semester Deuteronomy) economic subjects on the students of class XI social science in public high school region A Bandung City. This research aims to determine the general description of self esteem seen from the aspects of the forming of the feeling of belonging, feeling of worth and the feeling of competence and knowing the relationship between self esteem and student learning outcomes on economic subjects in public high school region A Bandung City. The research method used is explanatory survey. The sample is the students of class XI social science in public high school region A Bandung City as many as 194 students. Sampling technique used random sampling and proportional random sampling. Data analysis technique used is confirmatory factor analysis and pearson's product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) the level of student self esteem is in the medium category; (2) there is correlation between self esteem indicator that is feeling of belonging, feeling of worth and feeling of competence with self esteem of student which shown by correlation value of feeling of belonging indicator equal to 0,693, correlation value of feeling of worth indicator equal to 0,836 and value correlation indicator feeling of competence of 0.783; (3) there is a positive and significant correlation between student self esteem with the learning outcomes shown by correlation value of 0.347 and significance value of 0,000 <0,05.
