    Abstract

    This study aims to examine the skills of Forehand and Backhand Drive through the application of tactical approaches in learning table tennis games. The research method used was the Classroom Action Research method by applying research designs developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The study consisted of several stages, as follows: (1) action planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Place of research in Sukapura I Elementary School, Cirebon City with the object of research is Grade V students, amounting to 25 students. The research process is divided into II cycles consisting of IV actions. Each action uses a variety of motion tasks that are packaged in the form of a level and gradual game from the easiest to the most difficult. Data were collected using the Tomoliyus instrument. Then all data collected was analyzed using percentage techniques. From the percentage of aspects of forehand and backhand drive skills based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that the application of tactical approaches can improve forehand and backhand drive skills in learning table tennis. As a suggestion from the results of the study, in the provision of learning material for table tennis games, it should be given in stages from the easiest to the most difficult.
