Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran IPS, yaitu rendahnya kreativitas siswa di kelas VII-A MTs Ar-Rohmah Bandung dalam membuat suatu produk. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari beberapa kelompok yang membuat produk yang sama tetapi cara penyajiannya berbeda, setiap kelompok tidak menghasilkan produk yang baru hanya mengganti dengan bahan yang berbeda, dan pada proses pengerjaan ada beberapa kelompok yang hanya mengandalkan temannya. Melihat dari permasalahan tersebut, peneliti memilih model project based learning dengan membuat poster sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, peningkatan, hambatan dan solusi dari penerapan model project based learning dengan pembuatan poster untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Peneltian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dengan memperoleh hasil peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Hal tersebut diperoleh dari hasil observasi kreativitas dan hasil poster siswa. Hasil observasi kreativitas siswa pada siklus satu memperoleh kategori kurang, pada siklus dua memperoleh kategori cukup, dan pada siklus tiga memperoleh kategori baik. Dapat diperoleh gambaran bahwa melalui model project based learning dengan pembuatan poster dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.;---This research is based on the problem found in social studies learning, which is the low creativity of students in class VII-A of MTs Ar-Rohmah Bandung in making a product. It can be seen from several groups that made the same product but the presentation way was different, each group did not produce a new product but only changed it using different materials, and in the working process there were several groups that only relied on their friends. Based on this problem, the researcher chose the project-based learning model by making posters as a solution to improve the students' creativity. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, the implementation, the improvement, and the reflection of the implementation of the project-based learning model by making posters to improve the students' creativity in social studies learning. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) by using the design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was conducted in three cycles with obtaining an improvement result in each cycle. This was obtained from the observation results of creativity and the students’ posters. The observation results of the students' creativity in the first cycle got less category, in the second cycle got enough category, and in the third cycle got good category. It can be seen that through the project-based learning model by making posters can increase students' creativity in social studies learning.
