    Abstract

    Penelitian ini membahas persoalan hubungan minat kerja dengan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK di mana minat umum siswa memilih jenjang pendidikan SMK agar siap bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya minat kerja siswa, tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa serta hubungan antara minat kerja dengan kesiapan kerja siswa desain pemodelan dan informasi bangunan di SMK Negeri 1 cirebon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah siswa – siswi desain pemodelan dan informasi bangunan di SMK Negeri 1 Cirebon kelas XI. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis presentase dan korelasi product moment.Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa minat kerja siswa dikategorikan sangat tinggi dan memiliki hubungan yang kuat serta signifikan dengan kesiapan kerja siswa yang dikategorikan tinggi. Dengan adanya proses pendidikan dan pelatihan di SMK, siswa yang memiliki minat kerja yang tinggi secara signifikan akan memiliki kesiapan kerja yang tinggi.-----------This research addresses the question of the relationship of interest work of students work readiness where public interest students choose secondary voactional school in order to be ready to work. This research aims to know the magnitude of interest in the work of students, the level of readiness of the students as well as the working relationship between the interest of working with design students work readiness of modeling and information building major at SMK Negeri 1 cirebon. This research is quantitative descriptive research. Data collection instruments use the question form. The respondents in this study are students of design modeling and information building at SMK Negeri 1 Cirebon class XI. Data analysis technique used is the percentage of the product and the correlation analysis of the moment. Research results show that interest in the work of students categorized very high and has strong relationships with significant work readiness as well as students who are zoned to high. With the education and training process in school (SMK), the students who have high working interest significantly will have high work readiness.
