Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti melihat fenomena penggunaan Youtube yang dilakukan oleh guru IPS sebagai sumber belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 7 Bandung,mengingat semakin pesatnya kemajuan teknologi saat ini yang mempermudah siswa untuk mengakses berbagai situs yang dapat menunjang dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru-guru sebagai fasilitas yang dimiliki siswa untuk mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi, dan sarana yang terdapat disekolah yang belum bisa secara optimal dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pemanfaatan Youtube sebagai sumber belajar IPS, mendeskripsikan apa saja faktor pendorong penggunaan Youtube sebagai sumber belajar IPS dan dampak yang ditimbulkan dalam pengunaan Youtube sebagai sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan youtube sebagai sumber belajar IPS melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 7 Bandung, Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru memanfaatkan youtube sebagai sumber belajar IPS menjadikan pembelajaran lebih efektif, menambah ilmu pengetahuan dan wawasan yang siswa miliki, pemanfaatan youtube di SMP Negeri 7 Bandung digunakan untuk menunjang kualitas dalam pembelajaran, terdapat dampak positif dihasilkan melalui youtube sebagai sumber belajar IPS, yaitu siswa dapat mengakses pembelajaran kapan pun dan dimana pun, membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah sehingga siswa menjadi mandiri dalam mencari informasi. Dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan untuk siswa yaitu menjadi seorang plagiat karena dapat dengan bebas mengakses informasi, dan siswa dapat mengakses konten yang tidak baik. Kata Kunci: Youtube, Sumber Belajar, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial This research is motivated by the interest of researchers to see the phenomenon of the use of Youtube conducted by Social Sciences teachers as a source of student learning in SMP Negeri 7 Bandung, given the rapid advancement of technology today that makes it easier for students to access various sites that can support the teaching and learning process. This can be used by teachers as a facility owned by students to facilitate students in understanding the material, and the facilities available at school that have not been optimally utilized as a source of social studies learning. This study aims to use Youtube as a source of learning Social Sciences, describing what are the factors driving the use of Youtube as a source of learning Social Sciences and the impact caused in the use of Youtube as a source of learning Social Sciences. The method used in collecting learning data that utilizes YouTube as a source of learning Social Sciences through observation, interviews and documentation. The target of this study is class VII-D SMP Negeri 7 Bandung. The results of the study show that the teacher uses YouTube as a source of learning Social Sciences makes learning more effective, adds knowledge and insight that students have, the use of YouTube in SMP Negeri 7 Bandung is used to support the quality of learning, there is a positive impact generated through YouTube as a source of learning Social Sciences, namely students can access learning anytime and anywhere, making learning easier so students become independent in finding information. The negative impact caused by students is to become a plagiarist because they can freely access information and students can access content that is not good.
