Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan gerak dasar renang gaya bebas, dalam upaya mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti menerapkan salah satu model pembelajaran yaitu Movement Problem Based Learning yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan gerak dasar renang gaya bebas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dan objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 35 siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 201 Sukaluyu Kota Bandung. Hasil observasi awal menunjukan tingkat keterampilan gerak dasar renang gaya bebas siswa masih sangat rendah yaitu (27%) adapun hasil penelitian pada siklus I tindakan 1 menunjukkan keterampilan gerak dasar renang gaya bebas siswa mencapai hasil (32%), siklus I tindakan 2 menunjukkan keterampilan gerak dasar renang siswa mencapai hasil (42%). Pada siklus II tindakan 1 menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan bermain meningkat hingga mencapai (52%), dan siklus II tindakan II mengalami peningkatan mencapai (76%). Dari data hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan siswa setiap siklus dan tindakannya dengan menggunakan penerapan model Movement Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan gerak dasar renang gaya bebas. This research is motivated by the low basic a crawl swimming skills, in an effort to overcome these problems researchers apply one of the learning models namely Movement Problem Based Learning which aims to find out the improvement of the crawl swimming basic motion. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects and objects in this study were 35 fifth grade students of Sukaluyu 201 State Elementary School in Bandung. The results of preliminary observations indicate the level of basic freestyle swimming skills of students is still very low (27%). As for the results of the study in the first cycle of action 1 shows the basic a crawl swimming skills of students achieving results (32%), the first cycle of action 2 shows the skills of motion elementary swimming students achieve results (42%). In cycle II action 1 showed that play skills increased to reach (52%), and cycle II action II increased to reach (76%). From the data of the results of research that has been done it can be concluded that an increase in the ability of students each cycle and its actions by using the application of the Movement Problem Based Learning model to improve basic a crawl swimming skills.
