Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Atambua dengan menggunakan model partisipatori berbasis kearifan lokal. Peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah model partisipatori berbasis kearifan lokal dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi. Langkah-langkah penerapan model tersebut berdasarkan sintak pembelajaran yang harus dilakukan melalui 6 tahapan yaitu (1) melakukan pembinaan keakraban, (2) mengidentifikasi kebutuhan, sumber belajar, dan kemungkinan hambatan, (3) menentukan tujuan belajar, (4) menyusun rencana kegiatan belajar, (5) melaksanakan kegiatan belajar, dan (6) melakukan penilaian proses, hasil, dan pengaruh kegiatan belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasai dengan desain faktorial tipe extrovert dan introvert. Berdasarkan hasil prates dan pascates, didapatkan beberapa hasil temuan yaitu (a) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dan kelas kontrol yang tidak diberi perlakuan, (b) terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model partisipatori berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap menulis teks deskripsi, (c) jika dilihat dari antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, kategori siswa extrovert dan introvert tinggi, sedang, dan rendah tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi, dan (d) tidak terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model partisipatori berbasis kearifan lokal dengan siswa extrovert dan introvert terhadap kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model partisipatori berbasis kearifan lokal efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi.;This study aims to determine the ability to write a text description of the class VII SMPN 1 Atambua using participatory models based on local wisdom. Researchers want to know whether the model-based participatory local knowledge can improve the ability to write a text description. Step by step implementation of the model is based on the syntax of learning to be done through six stages: (1) fostering familiarity, (2) identify the needs, learning resources, and possible obstacles, (3) determine the learning objectives, (4) to plan learning activities, (5) implementing learning activities, and (6) the assessment process, the results, and the effect of learning activities. The method used is a controlled experiment with factorial design type of extroverts and introverts. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, when viewed from between the experimental class and control class, category students extrovert and introvert high, medium, and low to no effect on the ability to write text descriptions, and (d) there is no significant interaction between learning to use the model of participatory based on local wisdom with students extrovert and introverts on the ability to write a text description. Therefore, the results showed that participatory models based on local wisdom effectively to improve the writing skills of description text.
