Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan program determinasi Vertebrata Mobile Learning (M-Learning) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan klasifikasi dan penalaran. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode pengembangan model 4D (define, design, development, and disseminate). Partisipan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 174 siswa kelas X (10 siswa sebagai partisipan pada uji coba terbatas, 72 siswa sebagai partisipan uji coba I, II, dan III pada tahap develop, dan 92 siswa sebagai partisipan pada tahap implementasi), 4 guru biologi sebagai partisipan pada tahap define, dan 10 mahasiswa PPL biologi sebagai partisipan pada tahap disseminate. Penelitian ini menghasilkan program determinasi Vertebrata Mobile Learning (M-Learning) versi 3.0. Hasil implementasi program menunjukan bahwa program determinasi Vertebrata M-Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan klasifikasi dan penalaran siswa. Peningkatan kemampuan klasifikasi dan penalaran berdasarkan pada kenaikan skor pretest dan posttest. Rata-rata skor pretest pada kemampuan klasifikasi yaitu 44,09 sedangkan rata-rata skor posttest yaitu 81,22. Rata-rata skor pretest kemampuan penalaran yaitu 45,32 sedangkan rata-rata skor posttest yaitu 80,94. Berdasarkan peningkatan nilai pretest dan posttest maka didapatkan N-Gain pada kemampuan klasifikasi yaitu 0,65 dan kemampuan penalaran yaitu 0,64 dengan kategori sedang. Terdapat korelasi yang tinggi antara kemampuan klasifikasi dan penalaran yang menunjukan angka 0,795. Respon pengguna terhadap program determinasi Vertebrata M-Learning menunjukan respon yang positif seperti kemudahan dalam menggunakan program dan kemenarikan program. ..... The purpose of this study was to developed mobile learning (M-Learning) Vertebrate determination program to improve classification and reasoning skills. This study used 4-D (define, design, development, and disseminate) design of development method. Participants of this study were 174 highschool students in 10th grade (10 students as participants in the program limited trial, 72 students as participants in I, II, and III program trials at the develop stage, and 92 students as participants in the implementation stage), 4 biology teacher as participants in the define stage and 10 biology students as participants in the disseminate stage. The result of this study was M-Learning Vertebrate determination program development version 3.0. Implementation of M-Learning Vertebrate determination program improved students classification and reasoning skills. The Improved of classification and reasoning skills based on the increased of pretest and posttest scores. The mean of classification skill on pretest score was 44.09 and posttest score was 81.22. The mean of reasoning skill on pretest score was 45.32 and posttest score was 80.94. N-Gain on the classification skill was 0.65 and on the reasoning skill was 0.64 which classified medium category. There was high correlation between classification skill and reasoning skill with the number 0.795. User response shows positive response for used M-Learning Vertebrate determination program. The program was easy to used and attractive.
