Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku blindism pada anak dengan hambatan penglihatan dengan metode reality Therapy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dengan subjek tunggal atau single subject research (SSR). Desain yang digunakan yaitu desain A-B-A yang terdiri dari tiga kondisi yaitu kondisi baseline (A-1), Intervensi (B) dan baseline 2 (A-2). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SLB Negeri di kota Cimahi pada kelas VIII menggunakan teknik observasi, yang sebelumnya sudah diamati salah satu anak pada kelas VIII yang memiliki perilaku blindism. Partisipan penelitian melibatkan satu subject untuk diteliti. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data keseluruhan, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa melalui reality therapy dapat mengurangi perilaku blindism anak tunanetra. Ini dibuktikan dengan adanya penurunan mean level pada kondisi baseline-1 (A-1) yaitu 284, kondisi intervensi (B) yaitu 94.4, dan yang terakhir kondisi baseline-2 (A-2) yaitu 93. Dari hasil tersebut dapat terlihat subjek HM mengalami penurunan yang cukup baik dalam penelitian ini meski tidak optimal. ..... This study aims to reduce the behavior of blindism in children with visual impairment with reality therapy methods. This study uses a research method with a single subject or single subject research (SSR). The design used is the design of A-B-A which consists of three conditions namely baseline conditions (A-1), Interventions (B) and baseline 2 (A-2). This research was carried out in one of the State SLB in Cimahi in class VIII using observation techniques, which had previously been observed by one of the children in class VIII who had blindism behavior. Research participants involve one subject to be examined. Based on the results of research and overall data analysis, it can be concluded that through reality therapy can reduce the blindism behavior of blind children. This is evidenced by a decrease in the mean level at baseline-1 (A-1), which is 284, intervention condition (B) is 94.4, and the last is baseline-2 (A-2), which is 93. From these results, HM subjects can be seen. experienced a fairly good decline in this study although not optimal.
