    Abstract

    Pemahaman diri adalah pengetahuan individu tentang diri yang diperoleh dari proses memahami berbagai karakteristik diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tingkat pemahaman diri siswa underachiever yang kemudian dijadikan dasar dalam perumusan program layanan bimbingan pribadi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman diri siswa underachiever. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman diri siswa underachiever kelas IX SMPN 26 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 berada pada kategori sedang. Rumusan program layanan bimbingan pribadi yang secara hipotetik dapat meningkatkan pemahaman diri siswa underachiever mencakup rasional, landasan yuridis, visi dan misi bimbingan dan konseling, deskripsi kebutuhan, tujuan, sasaran, komponen layanan, bidang layanan, waktu pelaksanaan, rencana operasional, pengembangan tema/topik, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut, sarana dan prasarana, anggaran biaya dan rencana pelaksanaan layanan.

    Self-understanding is one's knowledge of oneself obtained from the process of understanding various self-characteristics. This research aimed at obtaining an overview of the level of self-understanding of underachiever students which was then used as a basis in the formulation of a personal guidance service program to improve underachiever students' self-understanding. This research employed a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The perticipants involved in this study were 31 students chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The result of this research indicated that underachiever students' self-understanding in class IX of Junior High School 26 Bandung in the year of 2018/2019 is in the moderate category. The formulation of a personal guidance service program that can hypothetically improve underachiever students' self-understanding includes rational, judicial basis, guidance and counseling vision and mission, description of needs, goals, objectives, service components, service fields, implementation time, operational plans, theme/topic development, evaluation and follow-up, facilities and infrastructure, budget and plan for implementing services.
