Abstract

Guru harus memiliki keterampilan manajemen kelas yang baik agar pembelajaran berjalan secara kondusif sehingga berdampak pada proses dan hasil belajar serta keterampilan dan tingkah laku siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis: 1) manajemen perencanaan, manajemen proses, dan manajemen evaluasi pada pembelajaran matematika di SMK; 2) permasalahan yang dihadapi guru dalam manajemen kelas pada pembelajaran matematika di SMK; dan 3) pandangan peserta didik tentang manajemen kelas yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif di salah satu SMK Negeri di Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat. Instrumen utama penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri yang dilengkapi dengan lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru secara manajemen kelas pada pembelajaran matematika di SMK telah melakukan berbagai upaya melalui perencanaan pembelajaran, pemilihan media dan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dengan materi, pengelolaan interaksi kelas, pengaturan waktu selama proses pembelajaran, pengaturan lingkungan fisik kelas, dan melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran. Namun demikian, guru menghadapi kendala dalam menyusun RPP, yaitu penyusunan indikator pencapaian kompetensi dan penentuan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan. Masalah lain yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah kelemahan dalam mengkondisikan kelas agar siswa disiplin dan teratur dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Menurut pandangan peserta didik, secara keseluruhan guru sudah melaksanakan manajemen kelas dengan baik. Menurut mereka guru menguasai kelas, berinteraksi dengan menyenangkan dan menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dengan jelas. Analysis of Class Management on Mathematics Learning in Vocational High Schools Teachers must have good classroom management skills so that learning runs in a conducive manner so that it impacts on the learning process and results as well as students' skills and behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze: 1) planning management, process management, and evaluation management in mathematics learning in vocational schools; 2) problems faced by teachers in classroom management in mathematics learning in vocational schools; and 3) the views of students about classroom management carried out by teachers in learning mathematics in SMK. This research is a qualitative study in one of the State Vocational Schools in Padang City, West Sumatra. The main instrument of research is the researcher himself who is equipped with observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documents. The results showed that teachers in class management in mathematics learning at Vocational Schools had made various efforts through learning planning, selection of media and appropriate learning methods with materials, management of classroom interactions, time management during the learning process, arrangement of the classroom's physical environment, and learning evaluation. However, teachers face obstacles in preparing lesson plans, namely the preparation of indicators of achievement of competencies and determination of learning methods that are in accordance with the material being taught. Another problem faced by teachers is weakness in conditioning the class so students are disciplined and organized in learning activities. In the view of students, overall the teacher has implemented classroom management well. According to them the teacher controls the class, interacts pleasantly and delivers learning material clearly.
