Abstract

Desain busana merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang wajib dipelajari oleh siswa SMK pada bidang keahlian tata busana yang diajarkan di kelas XI (sebelas) di SMK BPP(Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Balai Perguruan Putri) Bandung. SMK BPP Bandung merupakan salah satu SMK di Bandung yang terdapat bidang keahlian tata busana yang juga mempelajari desain busana, salah satu tugas dari mata pelajaran desain busana adalah desain busana pesta dengan penyelesaian teknik kering. Teknik kering merupakan teknik pewarnaan yang tidak menggunakan air atau bersifat kering. Keberhasilan dan ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran dari desain busana pesta yang menjadi tolak ukur adalah teknik pewarnaan desain tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai produk desain busana pesta pada mata pelajaran desain busana, ditinjau dari aspek teknik pewarnaan desain dan penyelesaian desain busana pesta. Sampel pada penelitian ini berupa produk desain busana pesta sebanyak 17 desain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa produk desain busana pesta dan skala penilaian. Hasil temuan analisis menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mampu menggunakan teknik pewarnaan kering pada desain busana dengan sangat baik sesuai dengan kriteria pada skala penilaian. Dengan demikian, hasil temuan analisis produk desain dengan teknik kering tersebut menunjukan kemampuan siswa yang sangat baik dalam mewujudkan desain busana pesta dengan penyelesaian teknik kering pada mata pelajaran desain busana. ;---Fashion designing is one of the subjects that must be studied by the vocational school students in the field of Fashion which taught in class XI (eleven) in BPP Bandung Vocational High School. BPP Bandung Vocational High School is one of the Vocational High School in Bandung that has Fashion Design expertise and also learns fashion designing, one of the tasks of fashion designing subjects is the party dress designing with the completion of dry techniques. Dry technique is a staining technique that does not use water or it has dry characteristic. The success and achievement of the learning objectives of party dress designing that became the benchmark is the design coloring technique. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the product of party dress designing on the subject of fashion designing, in terms of design coloring and completion of the party dress design. The sample in this research is 17 product of party dress design. The research method used is descriptive analytic method with data collection techniques in the form of party dress design product and assessment scale. The findings of the analysis showed that most students were able to use dry coloring techniques on the design very well in accordance with the criteria on the assessment scale. Thus, the findings of the analysis of design products with dry techniques show excellent student ability in realizing the design of party dress with the completion of dry techniques on the fashion designing subject.
