Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya kesalahan dalam menggunakan ejaan bahasa Indonesia sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti mengatasinya menerapkan metode drill.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan metode drill berbasis MKE dalam menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia dan (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia dengan penerapan metode drill berbasis MKE. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kota Bandung.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi dengan 3 siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar keterlaksanaan metode drill dan lembar indikator kemampuan menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa (1) guru melaksanakan semua tahapan metode drill berdasarkan tahapan yang telah direncanakan, (2) kemampuan menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia setiap siklusnya meningkat. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan belajar hanya mencapai 38%, pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 45% menjadi 83% dan pada siklus III meningkat sebesar 10% menjadi 93%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode drill berbasis MKE mampu meningkatkan menulis ejaan bahasa Indonesia.;--This research is motivated by the many mistake in Indonesian spelling usage cause the low of writing Indonesian spelling skills. Based on these problems, researchers solve it by applyed drill method. The purpose of research were (1) to describe the implementation of learning the drill method based on MKE application in writing Indonesian spelling and (2) describe an increase in the ability to write Indonesian spelling with the drill method based on MKE. Participants were students in the fourth grade primary school in Bandung. The method used is classroom action research method. The reaseacrh design used the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart of planning, implementation, observation and reflection with 3 cycles. The instruments used are sheet of drill method and sheet indicators of the ability to write Indonesian spelling. The results show that (1) the teacher carry out all stages of the drill method based on MKE of the stage that has been planned, (2) ability to write Indonesian spelling each cycle increases. In first cycle percentage of learning completeness only reached 38%, in second cycle increased of 45% to 83%, and third cycle increased of 10% to 93%. So implementation of drill method based on MKE can increased Indonesia spelling skills.
