Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi ekoliterasi peserta didik dalam mengurangi sampah plastik melalui demonstrasi reduce dan reuse. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi atas keadaan nyata di sekolah yang masih banyak sampah, khususnya sampah plastik sisa jajanan peserta didik. Kebiasaan jajan dengan kemasan plastik yang sulit dihilangkan menyebabkan penumpukan sampah kemasan plastik yang merusak nilai ekologis bagi lingkungan sekolah. Jumlah siswa yang besar tidak sebanding dengan petugas kebersihan sekolah menjadi salah satu faktor penumpukan sampah. Selain itu, pembelajaran di kelas nampaknya belum membangkitkan kesadaran dan perilaku peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan upaya membiasakan peserta didik untuk membawa tempat makan dan tempat minum ke sekolah dan menggunakannya pada saat jajan di sekolah, sehingga tidak menggunakan kemasan plastik jajanan yang berasal dari pedagang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan desain penelitian dari Kemmis dan McTaggart dalam Tampubolon (2014). Metode penelitian ini melalui empat tahap tindakan, yakni perencanaan (plan), tindakan (act), observasi (observe), dan refleksi (reflect). Empat tahapan tersebut dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus tindakan, masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak empat kali pertemuan. Dari hasil analisis pencapaian kompetensi ekoliterasi peserta didik yang dimulai dari siklus pertama hingga siklus ketiga menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan pada tiap aspeknya. Siklus pertama untuk aspek spirit (conectional) mendapatkan nilai 2,18, naik menjadi 2,76 pada siklus kedua, dan pada siklus ketiga naik menjadi 3,60 dengan kategori (A-). Aspek heart (emotional) pada siklus pertama mendapatkan nilai 2,12 naik pada siklus kedua menjadi 2,77 dan pada siklus ketiga mendapatkan nilai 3,61 dengan kategori (A-). Pada aspek head (cognitive) siklus pertama mendapatkan nilai 2,13 naik menjadi 2,78 siklus kedua dan 3,60 pada siklus ketiga mendapatkan predikat (A-). Pada aspek hands (active) pada siklus pertama memperoleh nilai 2,15 naik menjadi 2,83 pada siklus kedua dan pada siklus ketiga menjadi 3,64 dengan predikat (A-). Dari hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan mengurangi sampah melalui demonstrasi reduce dan reuse dapat meningkatkan kompetensi ekoliterasi peserta didik di SDN Talagasari I Kecamatan Balaraja Kabupaten Tangerang.;--- This study aims to improve the students' ecoliteracy competence in reducing plastic waste through reduced demonstration and reuse. This is motivated on the real situation in the school that is still a lot of garbage, especially the garbage of plastic snacks students. Habit of snack with plastic packaging that is difficult to be removed because the buildup of plastic packaging waste that destroys the ecological value for the school environment. The large number of students is not comparable to the janitors being one of the factors of garbage accumulation. In addition, learning in the classroom is not seem to generate awareness and caring behavior toward the environment. This research is an effort to familiarize the students to bring the place for eating and drinking to the school and use it when they buy meal from the school canteen, so they do not use the plastic packaging. The method used in this research is classroom action research method with research design from Kemmis and McTaggart in Tampubolon (2014). This research method through four stages of action, namely planning (plan), action (act), observation (observe), and reflection (reflect). Four stages are carried out in three action cycles, each cycle is held as many as four meetings. From the analysis of the achievement of the students' ekoliterasi competence that started from the first cycle until the third cycle showed significant results in each aspect. The first cycle for the spirit (conectional) aspect got 2.18, rose to 2.76 in the second cycle, and in the third cycle rose to 3.60 with category (A-). The heart (emotional) aspect of the first cycle got the value of 2.12 up in the second cycle to 2.77 and in the third cycle got the value 3.61 with category (A-). In the head aspect (cognitive) the first cycle got a value of 2.13 up to 2.78 second cycle and 3.60 on the third cycle got predicate (A-). In the hands (active) on aspect of the first cycle the value of 2.15 rose to 2.83 in the second cycle and in the third cycle becomes 3.64 with the predicate (A-). From those statements, it can be concluded that by reducing waste through reduced and reuse demonstration can improve the competitiveness ecoliteracy learners in SDN Talagasari I District Balaraja Tangerang District.
