    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan motorik kasar anak di TK Tunas Mekar Kabupaten Sukabumi. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut peneliti menerapkan tari kreasi piring dari Sumatera Barat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak-anak kelompok B usia 5-6 tahun TK Tunas Mekar dengan jumlah 16 anak yang terdiri dari 8 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi objektif kemampuan motorik kasar anak, mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan tari kreasi piring dari Sumatera Barat, dan mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar anak setelah diterapkannya tari kreasi piring dari Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu: 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan, 3) observasi dan 4) refleksi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi kemampuan motorik kasar anak, catatan lapangan, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian terkait kemampuan motorik kasar anak pada siklus I sebesar 31% dalam kategori baik, sedangkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak pada siklus II sebesar 81% dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa tari kreasi piring dari Sumatera Barat dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak. ----
    This research was motivated by children with the low rough motor skills in Tunas Mekar Kindergarten at Sukabumi District. To resolve these problems, researchers applied plate dances creations from West Sumatera. The subject in this study were children of Group B from 5-6 years old in Tunas Mekar Kindergarten with a total all of 16 children divided into 8 of boys and 8 of girls. This research aims to find out the objective conditions of children’s abusive motor skills, to describe the implementation of plate dance creations from West Sumatera and to know the improvement and the results after applying plate dances creations for children rough motor skills. The method used is Classroom Action Research from Kemmis and McTaggart models.Taggart consisting of four steps: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation and 4) reflection. The instrument research is used the observation sheet form of children’s abusive motor skills, field notes, and interview with a guidelines. The result of this research can be related for children rough motor skills in cyle I was 31% in a good category, while children rough motor skills in cycle II were 81% in a great category. The research result based on it can be concluded that plate dance creations from West Sumatera can help improving children rough motor skills.
