Abstract
Multi representasi merupakan suatu bentuk penyampaian konsep fisika dengan berbagai media, mulai dari deskripsi verbal, gambar, grafik, dan matematik. Multi representasi ini dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep fisika dan memecahkan masalah fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kognitif, kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, level kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, hubungan antara kognitif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, serta tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika menggunakan multi representasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian yaitu one group pretest and posttest design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda dan tes uraian, serta lembar observasi dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kognitif dengan N-gain sebesar 0,64 yang termasuk kriteria sedang. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa meningkat dengan N-gain sebesar 0,44 yang termasuk kriteria sedang, dan level kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa terbagi menjadi 8,82% siswa berada pada level missing, 75,53% siswa berada pada level inadequate, 17,65% siswa berada pada level needs some improvement, dan 8,82% siswa untuk level adequate. Sedangkan hubungan antara kognitif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa adalah linier dengan kategori rendah. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika menggunakan multi representasi adalah positif.---- Multiple representation is a form of physic delivery concept with various media, start from verbal description, picture, graph, and math. This Multiple Representation is able to help student in understanding physic concept and solving physic problem. The objective of this research is to know how are the enhancement of cognitive, student problem solving skill, description of student problem solving level, relation between cognitive and student problem solving skill, also student respond of physic learning by using multiple representation. The method used in this research was quasy experimental and the research design was one group pretest and posttest design. Instrumens used in this research are multiple choice test and essay, also observation sheet and questionnaire of student respond. The result shows that for student cognitive was increasing with N-gain 0,64 which include in medium criteria. Meanwhile for student problem solving skill was increasing with N-gain 0,44 which include to medium criteria, and level of problem solving ability of students divided into 8,82% of students are at the missing level, 75,53% of students are at the inadequate level, 17,65% of students are at the needs some improvement level, and 8,82% of students for an adequate level. While the relation between cognitive and problem solving was a positive corellation with low category. Student's response to physics learning using multiple-representation is positive.
