Abstract
Pengembangan bahan ajar untuk kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah sangat dibutuhkan. Salah satu di antaranya adalah bahan ajar teks eksposisi untuk SMA kelas X yang masih sangat terbatas. Para guru saat ini mengandalkan buku ajar paket pemerintah untuk mengajarkan teks eksposisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul menulis teks eksposisi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berargumen siswa SMA kelas X. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) model Four-D (4D) yang dikembangkan oleh S. Thagarajan, Dorathy S. Semmel, dan Melvyn I. Semmel. Kelayakan modul didasarkan pada validasi pakar/ahli dab praktisi, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba luas. Keseluruhan validasi dan uji coba modul yang dikembangkan menghasilkan nilai dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, modul yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria bahan ajar yang baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan memenuhi standar kelayakan berdasarkan aspek kelayakan isi/ materi, kelayakan penyajian, kelayakan tampilan/kegrafisan, kebahasaan, dan kemampuan berargumen. ---- The development of teaching materials for learning activities in schools is needed. One of which is teaching materials for text exposition for ten grade high school students, which is very limited. The teacher nowdays is rely on the textbooks from government to teach text exposition. The purpose of this research is to develop the teaching materials in the form of expository text writing module to improve the arguing ability for ten grade high school students. The research model used is research and development (R&D) Four-D (4D) model which is developed by S. Thagarajan, Dorathy S. Semmel, dan Melvyn I. Semmel. Module eligibility is based on expert/practitioner and practitioner validation, limited trials, and extensive trials.A whole validating and piloting of a module that developed is produce a good value. Based on these results, the developed modules have met the criteria of good teaching materials to be used in learning and meet the feasibility standards based on the aspects of content/material feasibility, presentation feasibility, display/graphically feasibility, speech, and arguing ability.
