Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis mengenai penerapan kemampuan argumentasi siswa pada materi Gymnospermae melalui pembelajaran taksonomi numerik Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa SMA Negeri di Cimahi sebanyak dua kelas, kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran taksonomi numerik dan kelas konvensional (berbasis verifikasi). Metode yang digunakan adalah quasy experimental. Perbedaan kemampuan argumentasi ini ditinjau dari hasil tes sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran diberikan dan dilihat peningkatannya menggunakan gain yang menunjukkan kedua kelas kategorinya sedang, serta kemunculan kemampuan argumentasi yang dilakukan siswa pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh menggunakan uji beda rata-rata antara nilai pretest dengan post-test. Pada temuan penelitian pada hasil postest terdapat Sig. 2 tailed sebesar 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari (α=0,05). Setelah pembelajaran, siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran taksonomi numerik diberikan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan terhadap pembelajaran tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukan terdapat perbedaan cukup signifikan antara kemampuan argumentasi pada kelas taksonomi numerik dan konvensional, dengan peningkatan termasuk kategori sedang pada kedua kelas. Perolehan kemunculan kemampuan argumentasi yang dilakukan siswa pada kelas taksonomi numerik pada level 1 (17,2% siswa), level 2 (53,1% siswa) dan level 3 (29,7 % siswa). Pada kelas konvensional lebih banyak level 1 (31,7% siswa) dan level 2 (48,3% siswa). Hasil angket menunjukkan respon positif bahwa penggunaan taksonomi numerik pada materi Gymnospermae dirasa mampu meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi siswa.---- This research aims to analyze regarding the application of students’ argumentation ability towards Gymnospermae material through the numeric taxonomy learning. This research is conducted on two classes from Public High School in Cimahi, the class which apply the numeric taxonomy learning and conventional class (verification based). The method used for this research is quasy experimental. The difference in argumentation ability was reviewed from the test result prior and after the learning was given and the improvement was seen using gain which shows both classes are in medium category, also the emergence of the argumentation ability which were done by the students during the learning activity using observation sheets. Based on the analysis, the data are obtained using the differencial test of the average between pretest and post-test result. The research findings show that there is Sig. 2 tailed in the amount of 0,00 which is lesser than (α=0,05). After the learning, the students, who were given the numeric taxonomy learning, were given questionnaires to discover the responses towards the learning. The result shows that there’s a quite significant difference between the argumentation ability on the numeric taxonomy and conventional class, with the improvement including the medium category in both classes. The emergence result of argumentation ability which were done by the students in the numeric taxonomy class at level 1 (17,2% student), level 2 (53,1% student) and level 3 (29,7 % student). In conventional class more level 1 (31,7% student) and level 2 (48,3% student). The questionnaire result shows the positive response towards the use of numeric taxonomy which is felt can improve students’ argumentation ability.
