    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari permasalahan yang ada di kegiatan ekstrakurikuler paduan suara SMP Negeri 4 Bandung yaitu peserta didik anggota paduan suara masih memiliki masalah mengenai tentang ketepatan nada (pitch), ritme, dan pengetahuan musik yang kurang. Maka dari itu peneliti melakukan tindakan untuk memperbaiki masalah tersebut dengan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) penerapan pemanfaatan media audio mp3 untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok, (2) Hasil dari pemanfaatan media audio mp3 untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anggota kegiatan ekstrakurikuler paduan suara SMP Negeri 4 Bandung. Teknikpengumpulan datayang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahobservasi, wawancaradandokumentasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peserta didik merasa senang dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran membaca notasi balok karena penggunaan media audio mp3. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I hingga siklus III. Pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata 1,72 yang meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 2,8. Dari hasil yang diperoleh di siklus II terjadi peningkatan pada siklus III dengan nilai rata-rata menjadi 3,6. Data ini diperoleh dari indikator penilaian dengan skala nilai 1-4. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan media audio mp3 dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok pada paduan suara di SMP Negeri 4 Bandung.

    This study is background from the problems that exist in the extracurricular activities of choir SMP Negeri 4 Bandung, students choir members still have problems about the accuracy of tone (pitch), rhythm, and lack of music knowledge. Therefore the researchers take action to fix the problem by improving the ability to read the beam notation. This study aims to determine (1) the application of audio media utilization of mp3 to improve the ability to read notation beam, (2) Result of utilization of audio media mp3 to improve the ability to read beam notation. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research is a member of extracurricular activities of choir SMP Negeri 4 Bandung. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results obtained that the learners feel happy and enthusiastic in following the learning to read the beam notation because of the use of audio media mp3. This can be seen from the improvement of learning outcomes of learners from cycle I to cycle III. In the first cycle, the average value of 1.72 increased in cycle II to 2.8. From the results obtained in cycle II there is an increase in cycle III with an average value to 3.6. This data is derived from an assessment indicator with a scale of 1-4. From the results of this study can be concluded that the utilization of audio media mp3 can improve the ability to read the beam notation in the choir at SMP Negeri 4 Bandung.
