Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Terlihat dari kurangnya siswa dalam bertanya maupun berpendapat serta banyaknya siswa yang pasif dan kurang berkontribusi dalam kegiatan kerja kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Numbered Head Together dan meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengadaptasi model PTK dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 pada salah satu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Coblong, Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 20 siswa, terdiri dari 11 orang laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together yang terdiri dari empat langkah kegiatan pembelajaran yang meliputi: (1) penomoran (Numbering), (2) pemberian pertanyaan (Questioning), (3) diskusi masalah (Head Together), dan pemanggilan nomor (Answering). Hasil dari siklus I menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai 73% dengan kategori cukup aktif, sedangkan pada siklus II aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat mencapai 89% dengan kategori aktif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. ------------ This research is motivated by the low learning activity of students in learning activities. Seen from the lack of students to ask or opinions as well as the number of students who are passive and less contribute in group work activities. This research aims to describe the application of Numbered Head Together model and increase the learning activity of elementary school students by applying cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together. The research method used in this research is Classroom Action Research method by adapting the PTK model from Kemmis & Mc. Taggart that implemented in two cycles. The subjects of the research were the third grade students of the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017 at one of elementary school in Coblong sub-district, Bandung City, which consisted of 20 students, consisting of 11 men and 9 women. This research is conducted by applying the model of learning Numbered Head Together which consists of four steps of learning activities which include: (1) numbering (numbering), (2) giving a question (questioning), (3) discuse a problem (head together), and (4) call a number (answering). The results of the first cycle showed the students' learning activities reached 73% with the category quite active, while in the second cycle of student learning activities increased to 89% with the active category. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together can improve the learning activity of third grade students of elementary school.
