Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis kalimat sederhana. Hal ini disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan tidak menggunakan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunakan media gambar seri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat sederhana siswa kelas II SDN SRN. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan MC.Taggart. Tindakan dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitiannya terdiri dari 25 siswa kelas II SDN SRN. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata siswa pra siklus yaitu 56 dengan presentase ketuntasan 16%. Pada siklus I nilai rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 66 dengan presentase ketuntasan 60%, dan meningkat pula pada siklus II menjadi 83 dengan presentase ketuntasan sebesar 88%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan media gambar seri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat sederhana siswa kelas II SDN SRN. -------- This research is motivated by the low ability of students in writing simple sentences. This is due to the lessons learned by the teacher still using the lecture method and not using the media. This study aims to describe the use of drawing media series to improve the ability to write simple sentences of class II SDN SRN. The research method used is research method of class action of Kemmis and MC.Taggart model. Actions are implemented with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, execution, observation and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 25 second grade students of SDN SRN. The research instrument used is test and observation sheet. The results showed the average value of pre-cycle students is 56 with the percentage of mastery of 16%. In the first cycle the average score increased to 66 with 60% completeness percentage, and also increased in cycle II to 83 with a percentage of completeness of 88%. The conclusion of this research that the use of series drawing media can improve the ability to write simple sentence of second grade students of SDN SRN.
