Abstract

Media dan pembelajaran tidak dapat dipisahkan, saling berkaitan satu sama lainnya dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Keserasian antara media dan peserta didik merupakan hal sangat penting untuk mendapatkan media yang efektif menarik dan menyenangkan. Media yang dipakai selama ini sudah cukup banyak, namun media yang inovatif berbasis teknologi sangat kurang. Dalam rangka memperkaya media perlu dilakukan penelitian penggunaan media video dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana evektifitas pengembangan video dalam pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar siswa di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas V sebanyak 40 orang yang terbagi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dari delapan kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan video pada kelas eksperimen ternyata hasil penelitian menunjukkan media video lebih unggul, efektif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa dibanding dengan media lainnya. Penerapan media video pembelajaran PAI berpengaruh sangat signifikan dan efektif terhadap proses dan hasil belajar siswa di kelas V SDN 002 di Pulau kijang. Guru-guru PAI diharap lebih dapat menguasai ilmu teknologi dan mampu mengembangkan media video dalam pembeljaran PAI. Media video sangat baik diterapkan sebagai media alternatif pembelajaran PAI di Sekolah Dasar.,--- Media and instruction are inseparable; they are interconnected to meet instructional goals. The suitability between media and students’ needs and characteristics is vital to get effective, interesting, and fun instructional media. There has been quite a large number of media used until recently, but there is a lack of innovative and technology-based media. In an attempt of enriching instructional media, research on the use of the media of videos in Islamic education instruction was carried out. The research attempts to find about the extent to which the development of videos in Islamic education instruction is effective in improving the fifth grade primary school students’ learning process and outcomes. It adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The sample consisted of 40 fifth grade students, divided into the experimental and control classes. The findings show that the media of videos were more effective and fun for students than other media. The implementation of the media of videos in Islamic education instruction significantly improved the learning process and outcomes of the fifth grade primary school students. Islamic education teachers are expected to have greater mastery of science and technology and to be able to develop the media of videos in Islamic education instruction. Videos are very appropriate to be made one of the alternatives of Islamic education instructional media in primary schools.
