Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya proses menyimak yang berlangsung di sekolah sehingga peserta didik kurang terkondisikan dalam menyimak, padahal menyimak dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode hypnoteaching pada pembelajaran menyimak teks negosiasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 orang di kelas eksperimen dan 30 orang di kelas kontrol yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu prates, perlakuan, dan pascates. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil tes menyimak peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, nilai rata-rata prates di kelas eksperimen adalah 72,08333, sedangkan di kelas kontrol adalah 64,83333. Nilai rata-rata pascates di kelas eksperimen adalah 79,47778, sedangkan di kelas kontrol adalah 69,82444. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh thitung sebesar 4.595, dan ttabel sebesar 1.672 yang menggunakan derajat kebebasan 58 dan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Maka diketahui thitung>ttabel atau 4.595>1.672. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menyimak antara peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada pembelajaran menyimak teks negosiasi. Dengan demikian, metode hypnoteaching efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks negosiasi. ; The research was motivated by limited process listening at the school, which are the student are less conditioned in listening, but actually the case of listening can be basic concept in development of another skill language. The purpose of this research is to knows effectiveness hypnoteaching method in learning of listening negotiation text. The research method used quasi experimental with design nonequivalent control group design. Sample for this research consist of 30 people in experiment class and 30 people in control class which were taken by purposive sampling. This research was consist of three stages: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Data from this research is the result test of student in listening. Based on data analysis, average value in the experiment class on pre-tes is 72,08333, meanwhile in the control class is 64,83333. The average value in the experiment class on post-tes is 79,47778, meanwhile in the control class is 69,82444. Based on hypothesis test, it is get count 4.595, and list 1.672 with used degrees of freedom 58 and confidence level is 95%. Then know that count>list or 4.595>1.672. The result of this research showed a significant difference of the ability listening between student in experiment class and student in control class in learning to listening negotiation text. Therefore, the hypnoteaching method is effective to used in learning to listening negotiation text.
