Abstract
Penggunaan media gambar berseri dapat membantu guru dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media gambar berseri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas III di SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi. Rumusan masalah umum dalam penelitian ini yaitu Bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan media gambar berseri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas III di SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi? Sedangkan rumusan masalah khusus dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah terdapat perbedaan pengaruh peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman aspek literal dan aspek interpretatif antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media gambar berseri terhadap peserta didik kelas III di SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain serial waktu dengan satu kelompok. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen berjenis tes objektif. Teknik penyampelan dilakukan dengan teknik penyampelan klaster (gugus). Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah: 1) penggunaan media gambar berseri mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada peserta didik kelas III di SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi. 2) Kemampuan membaca pemahaman aspek literal dan aspek interpretatif sesudah menggunakan media gambar berseri lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sebelum menggunakan media gambar berseri pada peserta didik kelas III di SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi. ;--- The use of sequencing pictures media can assist teachers during teaching and learning process to increase reading comprehension skills of students. The main purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the effectiveness of sequencing pictures utilization towards the increasing of reading comprehension skills of Third grade students at SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 in Cimahi. The general problem of this research is formulated in the question of “How the sequencing pictures media utilization influences the increasing of reading comprehension skills of third grade students at SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Cimahi. Meanwhile, the reasearch conclusion specifically can be described as follows: whether any difference influences in the increasing of reading comprehension skills literal aspect and interpretative aspect between before and after using sequence pictures of third grade students at SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Cimahi?” The research adopted a quasi experimental method with one group time series design. The instrument used was objective test. Sample was taken with cluster sampling. The findings of this research are as follows: 1) The use of sequence pictures are able to increase reading comprehension skills of third grade students at SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Cimahi. 2) Reading comprehension skills literal aspect and interpretative aspect after using sequence pictures media higher than before using sequence picture media of third grade at SDN Padasuka Mandiri 2 Cimahi.
