Abstract

Anak tunagrahita sedang seringkali mengalami kesulitan dalam menerima materi pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut dibutuhkan suatu metode yang tepat sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh anak. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk anak tunagrahita yaitu dengan penggunaan pengalaman langsung. Pendekatan pengalaman langsung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbelanja pada anak tunagrahita sedang di SLB-C Terate Bandung, permasalahan yang muncul adalah kemampuan keterampilan berbelanja anak tunagrahita sedang sebelum mendapatkan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran pengalaman langsung, kemampuan keterampilan berbelanja anak tunagrahita sedang sesudah mendapatkan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran pengalaman langsung, perbedaan kemampuan keterampilan berbelanja anak tunagrahita sedang sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan pengalaman langsung. Penggunaan pendekatan pengalaman langsung dapat membantu anak tunagrahita sedang berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran berbelanja, anak akan lebih memahami dan mengerti bahan ajar yang diberikan kepada anak tunagrahita sedang, apabila anak berperan secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga pembelajaran tersebut menjadi sebuah pengalaman bagi diri anak tunagrahita sedang. Dengan penggunaan pendekatan pengalaman langsung dalam pembelajaran berbelanja anak tunagrahita sedang dapat lebih memahami sesuatu yang abstrak menjadi konkrit sehingga akan memiliki ketetapan yang tinggi dan secara langsung kemungkinan kesalahan persepsi akan dapat dihindari. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain penelitian Modification between Changing Creterion Design and Multitreatment Design. Modification between Changing Creterion Design and Multitreatment Design merupakan suatu eksperiman hasil pengembangan dari eksperimen Changing Creterion Design dan Multitreatment Design yang disatukan. Kedua eksperimen yang disatukan tersebut merupakan penelitian pengembangan dari subyek tunggal (single subject research). Hal tersebut dilakukan atas dasar pertimbangan melihat pada karakteristik, kriteria, serta kondisi atau keadaan penelitian di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka diperoleh bahwa pendekatan pengalaman langsung dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbelanja pada anak tunagrahita sedang di SLB-C Terate Bandung. Memberikan informasi kepada guru mengenai pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan pengalaman langsung terhadap meningkatkan pengembangan keterampilan berbelanja pada anak tunagrahita sedang di SLB-C Terate Bandung. Memberi pertimbangan kepada guru agar dapat menggunakan pembelajaran melalui pengalaman langsung untuk meningkatkan pengembangan keterampilan berbelanja pada anak tunagrahita sedang. Memberikan informasi kepada peneliti selanjutnya bahwa penelitian mengenai penggunaan pendekatan pengalaman langsung dapat diterapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berbelanja dan dapat diterapkan pada semua mata pelajaran disekolah. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Pengalaman Langsung, Pembelajaran Berbelanja Child with moderate intellectual disability has difficulty to receive subject materials that given by teacher. To overcome that difficulty, child needs a proper method, so the learning process can be understood by child. One of the ways that can be applied by child with intellectual disability is application of direct experience. Direct experience approach can increase shopping skills of child with moderate intellectual disability in SLB-C Terate Bandung, the problem that occur is shopping skill ability of child with moderate intellectual disability before treatment by direct experience learning, shopping skill ability of child with moderate intellectual disability after treatment by direct experience learning, the difference between shopping skill ability of child with moderate intellectual disability before and after treatment by direct experience approach. Application of direct experience approach can push the child with moderate intellectual disability to be actively participated in learning process, child can understand more the materials subject that given by teacher, thus that learning will be experience for child. With the application of direct experience approach in shopping learning of child with moderate intellectual disability, child can more understand something abstract into concrete one, so it will have higher provisions and possibility of misperception can be avoid. This study use Modification between Changing Criterion Design and Multi-treatment Design. Modification between Changing Criterion Design and Multi-treatment Design is an experimental result of the development of the experiment Changing Criterion Design and Multi-treatment Design which unified. Both of the experiment which unified is a research development of a single subject research. This design use is based on characteristic, criteria, condition and situation of research. According to the result, it showed that direct experience approach can increase shopping ability of child with moderate intellectual disability in SLB-C Terate Bandung. With the application of this direct experience approach, is expected to provide information to teachers about the effect of direct experience approach to enhance the development of shopping skills in child with intellectual disability in SLB-C Terate Bandung. As well as giving consideration to teachers to be able to use learning through direct experience to increase the development of shopping skills in child with moderate intellectual disability and give an information to the next researcher that the use of direct experience approach can be applied in shopping learning and all subjects at schools.
