Abstract
Literasi saintifik (LS) merupakan kemampuan seseorang dalam menggunakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ilmiahnya dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan beberapa sekolah di kota Bandung belum melatihkan LS secara optimal. Penelitian lain telah menunjukkan LS dapat ditingkatkan dengan pendekatan saintifik, namun belum menggambarkan karakteristik sikap yang dimiliki siswa. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang profil sikap siswa berkaitan dengan hasil pencapaian LS yang dimilikinya. Sikap dalam LS meliputi minat terhadap sains dan teknologi, menilai pendekatan saintifik untuk penyelidikan dan kesadaran lingkungan.Penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan di salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat dengan jumlah sampel 38 siswa. pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dari beberapa instrumen yaitu lembar observasi yang di perkuat dengan kuesioner terbuka, kuesioner tertutup, dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada beberapa siswa. Hasil menunjukkan banyaknya siswa yang memiliki LS tinggi, sedang dan rendah adalah 8 orang, 24 orang dan 6 orang. Siswa dengan LS tinggi memiliki minat terhadap sains dan teknologi, menilai pendekatan saintifik untuk penyelidikan dan kesadaran lingkungan yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan LS sedang dan rendah.;---Scientific Literacy is someone’s ability in use their knowledge and scientific skill in order to solve the problem in daily life. Some of research show that some of school in Bandung not train the Scientific Literacy optimally. The other research show that assembling of scientific approach can improve Scientific Literacy, but, in this research not describe attitude characteristic of students. This research objective to get the description about the profile of students’ attitude based on the achievement of Scientific literacy. Scientific Literacy attitude was obtain interest in science and technology, valuing of scientific approach to enquiry, and environment awareness. Descriptive research was done at one of Junior High School in Bandung Barat regency with conduct the samples were as many as 38 students. The sampling is done by simple random sampling. The data get from some of instruments, they are observation sheet, which is supported by open questionnaire, closed questionnaire, and interview with some of students. The result shown amount of students get Scientific Literacy’s score that categorized as high, medium, and low which are 8 students, 24 students, and 6 students respectively. The student who get high of Scientific Literacy have interest in science and technology, valuing of scientific approach to enquiry, and environment awareness better than student who get medium and low.
