Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu survey eksplanatory. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa IPS kelas XI SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung kemudian diambil sampel sebanyak 220 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu stratified random sampling, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa;-- The research is made because of the lack of studends’ ability to think critically. The research has an aim to learn the impact of self-concept on students’ critical thinking skills. The research uses explanatory survey method. The research is compiled based on data of 220 students. The data was collected using stratified random sampling method, and later the data was analyzed using analysis of simple linear regression method. The research shows that self-concept affects students’ critical thinking skills in a positive manner
