Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan teknik gallery walk dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis Bahasa Perancis di SMA Sandhy Putra Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) penggunaan teknik gallery walk dalam pembelajaran menulis bahasa Perancis yang ditinjau dari aktivitas pengajar dan siswa; (2) kemampuan menulis bahasa Perancis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik tersebut; (3) kelebihan dan kekurangan dari penggunaan teknik tersebut dalam pembelajaran menulis bahasa Perancis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pra-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest. Dalam penelitian ini, tidak ada kelompok lain sebagai pembanding. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa tes, angket dan pedoman observasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA-1 dan mengambil sampel karakteristik kemampuan menulis kalimat sederhana bahasa Perancis dari 30 siswa kelas XI IPA-1 tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa bahwa teknik gallery walk dapat digunakan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat sederhana bahasa Perancis. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh hasil perhitungan data statistik dengan menggunakan rumus nilai uji t. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_hitung (9,69) lebih besar dari nilai t_tabel (2,46). Selain itu, peneliti juga memperoleh data analisis dari hasil nilai rata-rata kelas pada tahap prates dan pascates yang mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 22,39 poin. Berdasarkan data tersebut, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa teknik gallery walk efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis bahasa Perancis. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merekomendasikan agar teknik gallery walk dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif teknik pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pengajar bahasa Perancis dalam pembelajaran bahasa Perancis di sekolah menengah atas. This study discusses the use of gallery walk technique in French writing skill learning at SMA Sandhy Putra of Kabupaten Bandung. This study aimed to describe: (1) the use of Gallery Walk technique in French writing skill learning in terms of the activity of teachers and students; (2) the students’ ability to write in French before and after using this technique; (3) the advantages and disadvantages of the use of this technique in French writing learning. The research method used is pre-experimental research design with one group pretest posttest. In this study, there is no other groups as a comparation. This study uses one treatment by using gallery walk technique between pretest and posttest. The instrument used in this study is in the form of tests, questionnaires, and observation guidelines. The population in this study is students of XI IPA 1 and took a sample of 30 characteristics ability to write simple sentences in French for students of XI IPA 1 academic year 2015/2016. Based on the research that has been done, the researcher concluded that gallery walk technique can be used to improve the students’ ability to write simple sentences in French after being given treatment by using gallery walk tehnique. The result of calculation shows that the value of the value of t-count is 9,69 meanwhile the value of t-table is 2,46.. In addition, the researcher also obtained data analysis of the average class score in pre-test and pasca-test which increased students learning outcomes by 22,39 points. Therefore, researcher recommended that the gallery walk technique can be one of the alternative techniques used by French teacher in learning French in High School.
