Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya sebagian siswa yang memiliki konsep diri negatif, untuk itu diperlukan konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektivan konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif untuk meningkatkan konsep diri siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pre test-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket konsep diri. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI SMA 1 Lubuk Besar Kabupaten Bangka Tengah tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Teknik analisi data menggunakan uji t. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara empirik konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif teruji efektiv dalam meningkatkan konsep diri siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dipergunakan oleh guru Bimbingan dan Konseling di sekolah untuk meningkatkan konsep diri siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya dapat menjadikan hasil penelitian ini sebagai pertimbangan dalam pelaksanaan penelitian lanjutan dengan luang lingkup sampel yang lebih luas dan jenjang pendidikan yang berbeda. --- This study is back grounded by fact that there are some students who still have low self-concept and there in no group counseling with cognitive restructuring available to enhance self-concept. This study is aimed to examine the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive restructuring technique to enhance students’ self-concept. This study used quantitative approach. The method study used quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Data collection technique used self-concept questionnaire. Sample of study were 11th Grade students of SMA 1 Lubuk Besar, Central Bangka Regency, Academic Year of 2015/2016. Data analysis technique used t- test. The result of study showed that empirically counseling group intervention with cognitive restructuring technique is effective in enhancing students’ self-concept. Futher researcher will use this result of the research as a consideration in the advance research that have broad scope sample of the different ecucation stage.
