Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang penerapan PAKEM (Pembelajaran Aktif, Kreatif, Efektif, dan Menyenangkan). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan pendekatan PAKEM untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III SD dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan sederhana. Dilakukan penelitian ini dikarenakan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III SD dalam menulis karangan sederhana sangat rendah. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) dengan model penelitian spiral dari Kemmis dan Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas III SD di Kecamatan Sukajadi, Kota Bandung dengan mengambil data berjumlah 29 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen motivasi belajar siswa yang dikembangkan sendiri berdasarkan kajian teori. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I terdapat 31% siswa dengan motivasi belajar tinggi, 48% siswa dengan motivasi belajar sedang, dan 21% siswa dengan motivasi belajar rendah. Sedangkan pada siklus II terdapat 90% siswa dengan motivasi tinggi, 10% siswa dengan motivasi sedang, dan 0% siswa dengan motivasi rendah. Dari penerapan siklus I dan siklus II motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,4%. Dengan demikian penerapan pendekatan PAKEM untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III SD dalam menulis karangan sederhana dapat menjadi alternatif dalam menyelesaikan masalah motivasi belajar siswa. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada guru dan peneliti selanjutnya agar lebih memperhatikan kegiatan pembelajaran dan sumber belajar agar terciptanya susasana aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan pada penerapan pendekatan PAKEM.;--- This research investigates the implementation of PAKEM (Pembelajaran Aktif, Kreatif, Efektif, dan Menyenangkan) (Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning) method. This research aims to discover the implementation of PAKEM method in increasing the motivation of third grade students of elementary school in learning to write simple essay. The background of this research is due to the low motivation of the third grade students in writing simple essay. The methodology that is used in this research is PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) the Classroom Action Research with the spiral research method by Kemmis and Taggart which was done in two cycles in which the subject of this research is the third grade students of elementary school in Sukajadi District, Bandung by taking data of 29 students. The instrument of the research used the learning motivation of the students which is developed by the writer based on theoretical review. The result of the research on cycle I is there are 31% students with high learning motivation, 48% students with medium learning motivation, and 21% students with low learning motivation. Meanwhile, on cycle II there are 90% students with high motivation, 10% students with medium medium motivation, and 0% students with low motivation. From the practice of cycle I and cycle II, motivation of the students increased by 17,4%. Therefore, the implementation of PAKEM method to improve the learning motivation of third grade students in writing simple essay can be used as an alternative in solving the problem of students’ motivation. This recommendation is given to teachers and further researchs to pay more attention to the learning practice and learning sources in creating the active, creative, effective, and fun environment by applying the PAKEM approach.
